Wavetek Sam III digital signal analysis meter power tested, with case,good shape
Here we have a fine electrical item. From Wavetek the Sam III digital signal analysis meter, with soft case. This appears to be in very good shape overall, the case is also in pretty good shape, this was plugged in with supplied cord, powers up, VU meter appears to function, some lights came on and the LCD panel was showing some numbers, but since we really dont know what this is for, we could test it no further. Comes with power cord, and a short cable for some other testing maybe? we dont know, but what we do know is this is a must have for the signal analysis meterer that you may know. Wavetek SAM Model 1500 Signal Analysis Meter, Fires Up!!
Due to time constraints and a need to turn items around. Item will be listed and sold AS IS. Once item has been online for 7 days, item will be re-listed as a storefront item. Power on tested only and sold AS IS. This auction is for a Wavetek SAM Model 1500 Signal Analysis Meter, Fires Up! The lid says SAM 1000, but inside, it says SAM 1500 on the panel up in the right hand corner. Original lid might have gotten broke, so just put the 1000 lid on? Has a strap on the bakelite case for carrying. This did not come with any charger to charge the batteries, but I did find a 12V power supply that came in the same box(will include this power supply) Don't ... moreknow if this was the power supply that came with unit, but it did power it up with this power supply. I tried to power it on with the Power-Pull knob, but when I pulled it out, it did not come on. When I plugged the 12V power supply into it and pulled the Power-Pull knob, it did fire up. The needle on the meter jumped a little to the right then settled down. The digital number readout lit up with a white light, then digital numbers appeared on the screen. The white light went off pretty much right away. The panel came up with the numbers 55.250, as seen in picture 8. I don't know how to check the battery, but what I did was push the little switch on panel up to Batt and the meter needle deflected up to the right until it got to about-28, or still in the RECHARGE region(picture7) In my research, I believe this takes a rechargable battery pack that is about 14.4V, so I would say the batteries are pretty much dead. When I turned the Power-Pull knob to the right, a hissing type noise came out of the speaker(picture 9) and increased the more I turned the knob to the right. Wavetek SAM I Signal Analysis Meter 450 NICE!
FOR SALE: Wavetek SAM I- 450 Mhz Signal Analysis Meter in really nice clean condition! Offered here is an old school SAM I- 450 Mhz Signal Analysis Meter in very nice condition. It is working. Comes with a soft case in very good condition. Manual included. Power cord included. Unit powers up and receives and measures signal levels. With just a 24" piece of wire stuck in the input connector. I am able to tune in all the local FM radio stations. This one has the Horz and Vert outputs for connection to an XY scope. There is one problem with the analyzer. The bat handle switch for AFC ON/OFF has the bat handle broken off. The switch can still be operated with the end of a greenie, you could replace this switch if it really mattered to you. The manual is included and the battery holds a charge although I would not rely on it. I just don't ... moreknow it's condition. Suffice to say the battery works, I don't know how long it will work. As you can see from the pictures, this analyzer is in great condition including the condition of the soft case.

Item recovered locally. Power on tested only and sold AS IS. This auction is for a Wavetek SAM Model 1500 Signal Analysis Meter, Fires Up Fine! Selling as parts/repair since I don't know how to test. Could work just fine. The lid says SAM 1500, and inside it says SAM 1500 on the panel up in the right hand corner. Has a strap on the bakelite case for carrying. Didn't let charge very long, but I don't know the longevity of the battery. When I turned the Power-Pull knob to the right, a squelch type noise came out of the speaker(top right, picture 7) and increased the more I turned the knob to the right. I didn't want to open up the unit to look inside because it still has the calibration sticker that looked intact. Looks to be a decent unit, but I have no way to really test this item.
