Cole/Parmer Model 8213-20 Digital Tachometer w/ case
I did some research on this Tachometer and it is older. But not sure how old. It would cost about $200 to $400 dollars to buy one new like this one from Cole/Parmer now. It has no problems other then one of the little spinning wheels is gone, but it works great with the one with it. Also it needs a new(9 volt) Battery wire hook up. The wires are hooked up temporarily to show it works. It has a Red digital number read-out, that would reach in to the tens of thousands Rev's per minute. Black case and a padded black plastic carrying case. It does require 4-AA to operate. As you may see that I got it up to 686 rpm with my fingers. The black button works the meter, but the Red one, when pushed, holds the top rpm speed. It is just sitting around in my toolbox thought I should let someone else try it for awhile. Pioneer Model 36 Photo Electric Tachometer. Very rarely used. It has spent it's entire life in my little shop. Stored in a cabinet with batteries always removed. Please see pictures. Meter looks new and is in very nice condition. The case has some tarnish on the exterior metal parts but still provides excellent carrying case protection for meter. New batteries have been installed and the meter tested and it worked just fine. about 30' inches of reflective tape and a spare bulb is included inside the carrying case. The operation manual and other paper pamplet that came when unit was new, is included. Item in working condition and very good shape! TACHOMETER "MODEL "J" HAND TACHOMETER" RARE, VINTAGE, IN ORIGINAL BOX!
This listing is for a VINTAGE IN ORIGINAL CASE. MODEL"J" HAND TACHOMETER. The item appears to be Vintage. Rare and Complete in the Original Wooden Black Box. The Box has a lightweight leather covering. There is light wear and minor"dinging" to the box; it has a front closure that closes evenly and tight; the hinges are a bit rusted, but tight. There are 7 pieces plus Instructions fitted in the box with an additional 1 1/2" metal piece that was also in the box-it probably doesn't go with the set, since the instructions don't provide for the piece. Since it was in the box, it comes with the item. The top underside of the box has a strip of Black elastic that is tight and goes over a Black, round"fitted" plastic piece that rests on top of the paper instructions. The instructions have a hole in the center ... morefor the part to fit through. The instruction paper is very discolored, including a"ring" from where the plastic piece rests; however, the instructions are readable. The lining in the Box is a"Blue Velvet-type" of material. There are 5 metal pieces; 3 have rubber tips; 1 piece is fitted tightly and I could not remove it-I actually did not want to"force" it out of the slot. The Tachometer is heavy with light scratching to the metal; a small piece of plastic on the other side of the dial has a small"chip" which is shown in photo#8. There is a bit of dirt inside the box. The round plastic piece is 3 1/2" across and approx. 12" around. The Tachometer is heavy, weighing nearly 1 1/2 lbs. It is 4 1/4" across, 13 1/2" around the Black rim; 10 1/2" around the metal bottom and 2 1/2" high. There is a piece extending from the Tachometer with MED. LOW HIGH. The Face looks clean.
