Boston Musical Instrument Company Cornet
This is a Boston Musical Instrument Company cornet. It is the fixed leadpipe model made around 1910. It plays in Bb and A. There are two models of these cornets. This is the earlier. Rarer model. The difference is the earlier version uses the small slide to pull to A and the larger slide for tuning. The later model the large slide is used for putting in A and the small slide for tuning. You can see the large slide has a low pitch slide in it. Serial number is 19008. Silver plating is in good condition with some loss on the leadpipe. Here's a rare find! An Elkhart Band Instrument Company cornet! Just serviced in our shop. It is a shining example of how brass instruments used to be made! Beautiful, dark sound accompanies this dark-lacquered horn. A little history of the Elkhart Band Instrument Company: The company was formed in 1923 by Andrew Hubble Beardsley and Carl Dimond Greenleaf. They were at one point the president of Buescher and Conn respectively. The story goes that the company was taken over by Buescher(or merged with) in 1927 and Buescher. Here we have a 1932 aluminum violin made by the Alumin Instrument company inc.The tag inside states it is No. 284 out of 435 and dated 1932. Alot of these have been destroyed through the years.In the 70's mostly. This one in free of dents and is really straight. It is a one owner.My grandfather worked for Alcoa and that is where it came from. The violin does need to be re-strung.

Vintage Ukulele K and K Musical Instrument Company New York 3, NY with GEIB case
I am not a musician and I don't know a lot about string instruments. That being said. I think this is an instrument you are going to want to seriously consider! Its one from a private collection dating to the 1930s. It may have a history before that or more recent. I just don't know. Look at the pictures carefully. In at least one. You can see that the finish has'crazed' like the glaze on old china plates. Its very attractive and testifies to the age of this piece. There are no cracks in the wood anywhere that I could find. The neck looks and feels good and is solidly joined to the body. I can see NO evidence of any repairs anywhere. The tuning knobs are free and working The whole fret board looks good and is solidly attached with all frets in place and secure. I'm not sure what to say about the strings. Looks like 3 different ... moretypes of strings. Not sure what's up with that but it seems inconsequential. The case is cardboard and some of the finish has come off. As you might expect. Its intact and really doesn't look bad. The inside is in need of some cleaning- cobwebs and such doncha know! Manufactured by GEIB. Chicago. David White Company 1950 Universal Level Transit This surveying tool comes with it's own carrying/storage case. The wooden box is tongue and groove with a latch on the front that holds it closed. The leather strap and buckle go across the top for carrying. The box was painted red. With one side being grey. The bottom has rubber bumpers so it doesn't sit flat on the ground. I shows some wear giving this antique a unique look. It works like it's supposed to, storage/carrying. Dimensions of box: 14"L x 11 1/4"H x 6 3/4"W The suveying tool is in quite good condition. Well. Look what we got here. Actually, not quite sure what it was used for. There were some GE tube limiters in this bunch of stuff, one of which was missing its original power supply, so perhaps this was used for that- but that's just a wild guess. Seems all there but I'm not going to power it up- or even clean it up. Though I think it will clean up nicely. The transformers have some rust. I guess that would be expected. 1930's Kay Musical Instrument Company Parlor Guitar Art Deco Play or Restore. All original. Looks like it was rarely played, overall great piece of history and the flaws described below do not take away from its overall beauty. From an estate sale, please check the pictures for condition, click to enlarge. I have replaced the strings with phosphorus D'Addario extra light.10 Acoustic Guitar strings and polished with fine violin polish. In the condition it is now it can be played though action gets higher closer to the body due to top warping and pulling the base of the neck down, otherwise neck is straight and still fully attached. There is one crack under the tail piece, a small crack on the back, one small crack on the left shoulder if you are looking at it and two tiny cracks at the hole where the end of the neck is, these are all ... morecaused by drying out. There is minor crazing to the finish, which can be seen in the picture of the bottom. The bridge has come unglued but stays in place and I left it that way in case the new owner wants a simple way to lower the action. The tuners work great though the G tuner is tight. Presently I have it tuned down a whole step to avoid too much tension on the neck. It does have a great blues sound. The case is chipboard, beat up and big for the guitar, I will wrap in bubble wrap inside and out and insure shipment. Please e-mail with any questions. I know nothing about musical instruments, do not know if this works. Has the case. With a label showing purchased in St. Louis Missouri. Case is in decent condition, but definitely used. Up for bid is one Green Instrument Company panograph engraver. I works very nicely. I bought it to engrave name plates for my business a few years ago but haven't used it a lot. It comes with 5/8" and 1" template letters and characters. These are all the templates I got when I bought this unit used. There might be a few missing but I haven't come up short when I engraved the plates I needed. There is also 3 smaller plastic tool boxes with lamenated plastic plates and a few engrave bits. What you see in the pictures is what you get. I will ship this but it weighs about 70 pounds so shipping might be expensive. Personal pick up is welcomed. Sold as is. No returns.

You are bidding on a balance scale by Compass Instrument and Optical Co. Inc. of New York. I know almost nothing about this scale and have searched the internet for information to no avail. The back of the scale is stamped"Japan. Scale measures 7-1/4" long and 5-1/2" tall. The base is a very heavy blue coated metal and is in perfect condition with original metal label. It seems to be in working order and is missing trays to hold weights. It is in really great shape, other than some oxidation, and would be quite a conversation piece for an antique collector!
