Bugle player and instrument maker, and was located at 62 Sudbury Street across from the successful E.G. Antique/ Vintage 6” Marsh Instrument Company Hydraulic Gauge Steampunk GREAT WALL PIECE This heavy steel gauge is about 6” across with the flange and the dial face housing is about 4¾” across. The scale is marked Hydraulic and the range is 0-2000 from the Marsh Instrument Company of Skokie. Ill. The only other making is Made in the U.S.A. I don’t have the fittings or equipment to test it. And I would suspect it to be non-functional. However it has a wonderful patina and the signs of good, honest use that will make it a wonderful industrial art display piece either on a shelf or on the wall. For some reason the camera flash shifted the color a little. So I’ve included a shot without it. I had to use the flash, though, to show some of the details. But with beautiful aesthetic design is a thing to behold. The overall bezel diameter is 7-3/4" and the unit measures 4-1/4" deep; weighs approx 7 to 9 pounds.
