2011 10.5 meter Flexifoil Ion 5 Kiteboarding Kite with Bar and Line Set, no pump
Up for bids is my used 10.5 meter 2011 model Flexifoil Ion 5 with bar and line set(no pump is included) My poor 10.5 was the newest of my Ions. And in the best condition, until disaster struck. The wind died and my kite went down, no big deal. I was swimming in and a two foot wave took my kite in, also no big deal, but at the same time my board got ripped out of my hands and went in along side the kite. When I caught up to the kite it was nearly ripped in half. I can only assume the fins of the board sliced through the canopy as the wave was tiny. The good news is I had it professionally repaired at Prokite in Texas(for $175.00- ouch) and it flies perfectly. Unfortunately they must not have had the correct color canopy fabric because they used some funky white fabric. Whatever. At least it flies well. So it's still a great kite, but probably ... moreis more suitable for a backup or a kite to learn on now because you really can't be cool with a giant repair slicing down the middle of your kite. The bar and line set is in very good condition so definitely some value there(those things are almost $400 new) So this thing is ready to fly. The Flexifoil Ion 5 is a great kite. With plenty of speed generated by the board itself when going down the face of the wave, it make it easy to crack the lip, go for that tail slide or toss that big fan of spray and not worry about getting speed from the kite. The combination of the M7’s with the GX makes this board get up and go and allowed for it to track upwind very easily. Antique Heddon 5 ft 10" Split Bamboo Rod
Up for bid is an antique 1933-34 era Heddon split bamboo casting rod that measures 5ft.10inches complete with wooden velvet lined rod holder and bag. The rod is in very good to very fine condition The reel seat is stainless steel(I believe) with a brass threaded reel seat lock. The rod has 4 red glass or agate eyes and one for tip top. The reel seat is marked Heddon Made in USA Pat#1624052 The bottom section of rod measures 31 1/2" while the upper half is 39 1/2" Ferrules are tight and the rod has nice old varnish with nice patina. The wooden rod case measures 41" and is reddish brown in color and appears to be quarter sawn. It has velvet on both sides with pockets notched so that guides firmly lock into each side. There are 2 string ties tacked to frame top and bottom so that rod could be tied into the case. Used pair of hip waders SIZE 10.5 - Great deal
I am selling my used hip waders. They were purchased at an Orvis store years ago. But I'm not sure if they are indeed Orvis. They are size 10.5 according to the receipt, but feel closer to 11. Medium width foot. The only issues are the heel felt is missing from one pair(as seen in pic) and one of the hip straps needs replaced/fixed. But I always tied them to my belt. Both are easy fixes if you even care to fix them. These would be perfect for a young fisherman looking for their first pair of hip waders. Sold as is.

It's my pleasure to offer at auction a rather Scarce 1916-1918 HEDDON NO.10 5-1/2 FT. 2/2 SPLIT BAMBOO BAIT CASTING ROD WITH THE ORIGINAL CORRECTLY MARKED BAG& LABELED/STAMPED HEDDON ALUMINUM TUBE. These earlier WWI-era rods from James Heddon's Sons are becoming extremely hard to find, especially with the original extra tip sections. The No.10 was an original member of Heddon's 1909 rod lineup and was first introduced as the"Dowagiac $10.00 Rod" It would always be one of their higher-grade models and would sell continuously through 1932. Because this example is equipped with full agate guides(first equipped so in 1916) and comes with its original extra tip section(last supplied with these models in 1918) we know it was only built from 1916-1918. Rodshaft carries a virtually complete"Dowagiac" bass decal, ... morewhile the reel seat is stamped with the early"Heddon's Dowagiac- Pat. Dec.1'08" rod& reel logo. The 1908 patent was assigned to James Heddon for the locking band reel seat. Built of very high-grade Calcutta cane and comes equipped with extra tip section, full agate guides& tip tops, highest-grade German Silver ferrules, knurled winding check& buttcap, Heddon's patent locking-band reel seat and solid cork grip& foregrip made of 1/8" cork rings. The No.10 was always about heavy cosmetics, with highly ornamented& knurled hardware and very closely wound in three colors of silk, with a staggering 175 individual wraps. I've added a photo of the original listing from Heddon's 1918 catalog. Rod is in about Very Good+ original condition, showing overall wear. Bamboo is perfect, with no splits, cracks or delamination whatsoever. All three sections are the correct length. Original varnish has what appears to be a fairly recent overcoat. All guides, tip tops, ferrules(which pop nicely when separated) winding check and buttcap are in good shape. The cork grip and foregrip show the heaviest wear although they both remain very solid. Ronnie was considered one of the all time best Pipeline surfers during the 1980’s on the North Shore. He passed away in 1990 from complications of an off road motorcycle accident and was a friend of the photographer. Hopefully this photo will help preserve his memory. Ronnie and his father‘Bosco’ Burns(also a surfboard industry legend) have since passed away but will always remain in surfing history and were friends of the photographer. The hardness of the wood gives it good highs while the properties of the stave shell allows the lows and mids to come through clearly. It has a satin finish. It has 6 ego tube lugs, all in good shape. The hoops came from a Tama Granstar tom, and are in good shape. The shell shows a few tiny marks in one area(pic 6) With one stand-alone bigger mark that shows in pics 3 and 7. They may have yellowed from age. Pencil or pen markings, creased edges, some soiling, foxing, store stamp, or minor tears. If item is in very good condition(VG) No pencil markings with only minor creases, I will list it that way. There is some really great sheet music. All have been lovingly used.
