The helmet includes the headpiece inside as well as the leather chin strap. The helmet is a 6 1/2-7 1/2 which I believe is a medium. The helmet is in amazing condition. There is a couple small yellow paint splatters. And some red near where the FD was painted on. The helmet just got a good cleaning and polish. It really shines. This is a great vintage find. I have for auction an Akron Turbo Jet nozzle. It is in used untested condition. The nozzle seems to twist very easily. I pictured the hose end that the nozzle was on and it will be included though I'm not sure what you could do with it. The nozzle twists off and on and there is no other on/off handle included. I'm just not sure of the technical aspects of this nozzle. It is stamped that it adjusts from 120 gpm to 250 gpms and also says"Flush" on it. I get the impression you can spray alot of water with this. This is a" Real No Reserve" auction so pay what you want.last bidder gets it.period! PIKE POLE END HOOK FIRE AND RESCUE FIREMAN CAST IRON 9 1/2 INCHES NEEDS POLE
I found this at a recent barn sale in Lebanon. NJ. It is a wonderful end to a pike pole used for fighting fires. At first I thought it may have been used to pull large fish onto a boat but later realized it is what I mentioned earlier. It is a very nice and I believe rare find. It has four holes for placement onto a pole. As you can see in the third photo. It s marked with a P. The cast iron is heavy and has a nice blueish grey patina. There is just a slight bit of rust. It has been cleaned inside and out. This is an excellent piece for the collector of fire fighting pieces. Size: 9 1/2 inches long and a 1 1/4 opening for a pole.
