For auction are two vintage Knoll armless bentwood chairs designed by Bill Stephens. One in red and one in purple. While the frames are in excellent condition overall, they will need to be reupholstered. The foam padding has turned to yellow dust, a common problem with chairs of this era unfortunately. The fabric itself is in great shape, though dusty from the dried-out padding, and could probably be reused if desired. The legs and frames are free of scuffs and scratches. Though one frame has a separated corner joint at the top(an easy fix with a clamp and glue) and one chair has a small ding in the wood on the top left side. Here up for auction is a neat old vintage dining chair. It's been put up in a dry barn here in our Great Smokey Mountains for some time. It has been light sanded and re stained. It has the old woven style seat but a couple of the strands were broke and needed some TLC. I left the old woven rope seat on but recovered it with new maroon fabric. Now it's a great addition to and bath. Dining or living room as an extra seat when needed. When not in use it just looks awesome. It can still be re woven if desired but like I said.It's great just the way it is now. There's no broken wood anywhere or creeks and still pretty sturdy. For auction is one vintage. 1960s-era All Steel Equipment metal swivel chair in fantastic original condition. It is painted a silvery gray color and is upholstered in green vinyl. The upholstery is in perfect condition; not a stitch out of place and free rips, nicks or stains. There is one faint scratch on the back of the back pad, which you can see in the photos. The beautiful, curved base features black plastic protector plates on the ends, and the armrests are made of the same black plastic. The metal parts are free of dings and dents, and the paint is in excellent condition overall, though there are small scuffs and scratches common to use. Much less than one would expect on a chair this age, however. The majority of the scratches are confined to the area where the armrests attach to the backrest(see photos) All mechanical features function ... moreproperly. The process used in the making of these chairs was"Steam Bent Solid Oak Back" and Bent Seats with the legs made of hardwood dowel construction.
