A 5 drawer section that has 1 broken drawer and a section that has 2 pull out shelf pieces to rest things on.The hardware is all present with the exception of the broken drawer which is missing it's label bracket/pull.All the rods are there inside each drawer.The cabinet does not have a finished top.It is made to stack on top of other pieces and it had the rounded ledges down each side to hold steady when stacked.I still have those but I took them off and placed a cut to fit piece of pine in the opening so the top would be flat.When I put a coat of just paint thinner on the cut to fit piece it will match in color.I will do that today.My husband can make a solid top for the price of the lumber if wanted.It won't be hard to do yourself.Just find a piece of pine(pine seems to match perfectly) and cut it the same size as the actual top and screw, nail it or glue it down.On the

This is a great 3 drawer oak cabinet or file. This file has what I believe to be the original finish and looks great. With wonderful quartersawn tiger oak woodgrain patterns. The dimensions are approx 10" wide by 14 3/4" deep by 13 1/2" tall. The inside of the drawers masure 7 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 12 1/2 deep. There are a few rubs and a couple scratches from years of use. Vintage 1 Drawer Antique Oak Library Bureau File Card Catalog Index Yawman Erbe
This listing is for a nice vintage cabinet by the Yawman and Erbe It is a one-drawer example. With the original brass drawer pull, and brass tag that reads"Y and E" It has the original adjustable sliding card holder in the drawer. Everything operates smoothly, the back however is missing(see picture) and there is some paint splatter on the front. These files were in common use in the early part of the 20th century in libraries, schools, and offices and were built to last. This example has wonderful quartersawn oak wood grain patterns and quality dovetailed construction with a few small cracks on the sides from over the years, but does not affect the overall condition. Antique Library card catalog. Made by the Library Bureau Sole Makers Company. Made of oak. Appears to have never been refinished. Shows years of loving wear. Please see all the pictures for a better idea of condition. There are 3 drawers with 6 areas for cards. The drawers are unlike most cabinets and are open rather than seperated into cubbies. This actually makes it much more usefull than most other cabinets. Only one drawer still retains the inside hardware. All drawers retyain the original outside hardware. One very interesting thing about this cabinet are the hand holds that were carved into the sides. This cabinet was apparently moved alot so the hand holds were added after production to aid in moving the cabinet. Normally I would say this would hurt the value but in this case they were probably added around 100 years ago and I feel ... morethis actually makes it even more interesting. I wish I knew the story of why they were added. Possibly a portable library. Think about it. Its very interesting and personally I feel since it was done so long ago it adds to the history and interest of this wonderfull piece.We will ship anywhere in the Continental United States fully insured for 35.00. Up for auction to U.S. customers only is a vintage Weis two drawer file cabinet. It measures 11" wide x 12" high x 18" deep. The drawers are 4-1/2" high and 9-1/4 inches wide. The oak finish has minor scratching on the finish and there are chips to the veneer at one side(it is a small chip; the rest of what looks like damage is actually reflecting light) and another at the rear corner(both pictured) Overall it is in very nice condition and ready to store your household items or other items. Very nice pair of Globe-Wernicke file boxes from Cincinati. Ohio. They are solid oak; very heavy! Measures 16x 7.25 x5.5" Holds 3 x 5 cards. The spring back card holders work fine; one of the handles on the front is a little marred; maybe melted celluloid plastic? These are circa 1900 and are great accent pieces for an office. Light sratches; also an old wax mark as to who they were sold to long ago. The name can probably be rubbed out. The paper labels are clean and visible when you take the drawers out. They read: Finish Number 3815 1/2 Light Oak; Catalog Number WG-13516. The brass handles are extremely heavy-duty cast pieces typical of furniture made during WW2. Has the full complement of original dividers with metal frames that don't appear to have ever been used(see last pic. In upper left drawer) Condition is superb. With just a few light scratches, mostly on the bottom. It appears a tag was put in place on right side near the front(see third pic, upper left side of file) Original finish still shows off excellent depth to the wood grain. Oak Library Card Catalog Storage File Cabinet with Brass Pulls& Label Space This 3-drawer solid oak library cabinet is in very good condition and measures 22-1/4" deep x 16" wide x 12" high. The drawers which measure 3-1/8" high x 14-3/8" wide x 21" long have been refinished and slide easily in place. They have deep dovetail joints which are indicative of the good quality of this cabinet which weighs a hefty 38 pounds. The rest of the cabinet is painted dark green and can either be stripped to expose the oak or left as is. I'm not sure what this cabinet originally was used for but I think it may have had dividers along the metal tracks for catalogue cards. Vtg Antique 1908 Yawman & Earb Metal Card Cabinet File Drawer Brass Handles
Description All metal with faux wood-grain paint and brass handle. Painted label on the front. Very heavy and well constructed. Good condition with age appropriate wear. It has some paint loss. A few scratches, and some surface rust on the back end. The label is mostly intact. The brass has the appropriate patina you'd expect on a piece this old. One of the rods has two patent dates on it. The latest being 1908. It has one card clip. But may be missing another. The knob on the bottom spins one of the rods, and appears to do nothing at all except spin. I think that another card clip might have attached to it and was moved or locked by the knob on the bottom. The switch on the top holds the drawer in place and works great. Measures 16 1/2 in. deep. 11 1/2 in wide, and stands 7 1/2 in. tall. I took photos with and without flash. The flash ... morephotos seem to show off the wood grain and help the wear show up better than the non-flash photos. A Great Antique Shaw Walker 4 drawer wooden filing cabinet. It has the dovetail joints and the"Shaw Walker" name on the top. One drawer has the metal card holder. The other 3 do not. Marks, dings, finish loss, a crack here or there, and the one side does have a black substance(looks to be old glue from some type of label) on it, as seen in the picture. The pulls appear to be old cut wood thread spools, 2 are from the old Berksire& Beckett Silk Co, one has some type of"Clark" label worn off& the 4th is unmarked. Old Oak MACEY FILE STORAGE BOX Index Card Size Dovetail Corners Hinged
Founded in 1896. Macey Furniture Company’s early products were oak card indexes and file systems, sectional bookcases and roll-top desks. They eventually expanded their line to include wooden office furniture. Up for your consideration is finely made hinged box. Measuring 10” in length. The oak box is 7” wide and stands 5” in height. A unique hinge system allows for the lid to be stationary in several positions. There is a groove in the bottom to accommodate the slider, which is long gone. Adding to the appeal is the dovetailed corners. 4” x 6” notecards would easily fit in the box, as the interior measurements are 6 1/4” wide and 4 1/4” tall. A gold“Macey” logo is present on the front. This particular emblem was first used in 1908 and the firm closed up shop in 1940, making this container at least 70+ years old. I would imagine some furniture polish would even out the tone, but wanted to leave that decision up to the new owner. The hinge arms are straight and operate as intended. Vintage 30 Drawer Card Catalog Combo File Cabinet with Writing Station
This card index file comes in 5 sections. The fully assembled unit measures 33 inches wide by 48 inches high. The base unit that 3.75 inches high. The first stage above the base is comprised of two standard file drawers that are 14 inches high and 24 inches deep in a self contained wood unit. The pull out wood writing surfaces are solid wood with edge banding with slotted finger holes and measure 15 inches wide and 14 inches long. The pull out section itself measures 2.25 inches high. The 30 index card file drawers come in two 15 Drawer sections and measure 3.875 x 5.875 with interior dimension of 3 x 5 inches. The knobs and the card holders are solid brass and there is one knob missing but should be easy to replace. Given it's age this unit is in pristine condition. Some of the wooden index card drawers have plastic inserts while others ... moreare wood. All of the drawers are solid wood and the adjustable index card mechanism is operational in all 30 drawers. The unit was manufactured with the finest craftsmanship. The units are joined together using rotating metal clips that fit into rabbeted wood stretchers located on the bottom of each piece. ~ Old Wooden Two-hole Accounts Card File ~ Early 1900s ~ Family Farm Relic ~
Old hardwood two-punch accounts file from somewhere around the 1930s era. This was my great-grandfather's. And he used it to keep accounts for the family farm. I always assumed it was oak with a dark stain; upon closer inspection it appears more to be walnut or black walnut. Either way. It's definitely hardwood and quite heavy. Measures almost 10" in length by 5.25" wide; height is about 3.75" thickness is 5/8" for both top/bottom. It's been well-used but the condition is good for a piece of its age that was handled daily. Needs a good cleaning; the top could use some TLC. Possibly revarnishing, to restore the original finish if you so wish. There is a tiny amount of surface rust on the lower metal cross-piece; I didn't try to remove it. There are a couple of tiny nicks on the underside of the corners seen ... moreonly when it's turned over. The feet have been taped over for some reason; I recall him to be very persnickety(his word) about things. It's still a lovely item. And a piece of early Great Plains farm history. I have no place to display or use it. So it needs to be somewhere it's appreciated and displayed. There's a tiny chance it will ship at the 1 lb rate; if so. I'll immediately refund the difference when I ship. Shipping: please use the calculator. Sadly. I am now forced to charge a small handling fee due to the rising costs of packing materials; however. There are 19 drawers with many different arrangements possible. The sections are made of beautiful quatersawn Oak. The large drawers have solid brass pulls with the company logo"Y& E" embossed. The dividers in these drawers appear to be maple with brass adjusters. The small drawers have solid copper adjustable dividers. The sections fit together with a patented rail system. The top of the cabinet is also removeable and it is made from Oak plywood. This file cabinet has been painted with a heavy oil based paint. The good thing is the paint was added over the existing finish so there has been little or no saturation into the wood. It will strip quickly. I was able to scrape off the paint in some sections quite easily. There is a broken drawer front and the missing section is not present. there is some side trim missing on the area between sections. Finally, the lid has suffered water damage. It is just the lid, no water damage is evident elsewhere on the cabinet. Structurally, the cabinet sections are excellent other than the aforementioned. It is restorer's dream in my opinion- a fun project, not too difficult, with a magnificent end result of a QuarterSawn Oak file cabinet from one of the great early makers. A colorful enameled copper top with rainbow colors and a bold G-Clef music symbol on the top of this solid. Well constructed wood index card file box. Purchased at an estate sale Vintage Wood Library Index Card Catalog Mid Century File Cabinet Dated Feb. 1969- 15 DOVETAIL DRAWERS WITH BRASS PULLS- SMOOTH GLIDING Original Parts This is a beautiful library card catalog cabinet. There are 15 drawers and all are dove tail. There are surface scratches and a some deeper ones on it. The pulls are brass and this is not a reproduction. The drawers glide easily open and closed. No sticking at all. Nice smooth drawer open and closing. Blond wood. Most likely maple, but not positiv e. All 15 drawers are dove tailed and glide smoothly. They all have(probably brass) finger pulls with label holders. Heavy. Solid construction(weighing 88 LBS) with a very nice patina. It measures 32" long. 17" depth and 13" high. Inside each of the 15 drawers measure 16 inches long, by 5 inches wide by 1 ... more3/4 inches high. Most drawers have functioning spring loaded metal slides to move cards forward and back and there are some that are not attached(the metal back plates) but will be inside so they can be installed. The top board was removed so that the prior owners could put it in a large shelving unit. Solid Oak Library Index Card Catalog Recipe Storage File Cabinet 1930s Mission
Selling a wonderful 1930s Golden Oak/ Mission Oak library/ recipe file cabinet/ox in very good condtion. This fine two drawer box retains the original solid brass hardware on the machine dovetailed drawers. THIS IS VERY HANDSOME IN PERSON BUT I AM A REALLY POOR PHOTOGRAPHER! The finish is lighter in color than these murky pictures indicate. Size is approximately 15 1/2" across. 6" tall by 14 7/8" deep. This was made from oak with a strong, prominent, handsome grain. Primary wood is solid oak, secondary wood(cabinet bottom and drawer bottoms) is a softwood, most likely poplar. This is an American made file cabinet. You can use this for recipe cards, or other filing. Also useful to store your love letters, Indian arrowhead collection or over due bills. Si tratta di una" scheda di espansione" da collezione che si connette alla stessa maniera delle schede PCI e AGP ma in uno slot ISA e si fissa al retro del case con una vite. Si tratta di un controller per HD collegato tramite ISA che guida un hard disk Western Digital da 40 MB(WD344R) incluso nell'asta fissato sulla stessa struttura metallica su cui è fissata anche la scheda controller. Dalle mie ricerche il controller ed il disco sembra dialoghino tramite interfaccia ST-506 MFM cioè una delle prime interfacce(se non la prima) per Hard Disk commerciali(anni 1980- 1981) Meccanicamente. Esteticamente l'oggetto è in buono stato(solo qualche graffio ed una specie di polverina, tipo patina d'ossido sull' hard disk) ma NON ho testato il disco perché non trovo una scheda madre con SLOT ISA in cui entri meccanicamente l'oggetto(nel case) quindi, per ora, lo vendo come oggetto da collezione, da provare o da collezionare senza pretesa di funzionamento. Oltretutto non ricordo neppure più come si settavano le schede di espansione ISA con gli IRQ da inserire manualmente nel BIOS ed ho anche paura di danneggiarla montandola s
