For your consideration is a very nice quartersawn oak desk chair. The chair was made by"JOHNSON CHAIR CO. CHICAGO" and has patent dates ranging from 1887-1895. The back spindles and turned arm supports are great. The carved arms are fantastic. The chair has been beautifully refinished and has a rare hand tied cane seat. Most of the cane seats you see today are a factory made piece that is held in place by a spline wedged into a groove. At some time in the chairs history when the original cane seat wore out an applied seat was fastened to the seat, as can be seen in the photos. The cast iron hardware retains much of the original black paint and has no breaks or damage. The chair is solid and adjust in seat height from 20" 26" and the back 49" tall at the highest setting. As is typical of these chairs at the higher ... moresettings there is play in the threaded adjustment. Overall the chair is 24" wide x 24" deep. The ball bearing casters are new and operate freely. The chair has been cleaned and given a hand rubbed wax finish, the wood feels silky smooth! The chair is estate fresh and in my opinion it has it all, don't be sorry and let it get away. Antique Vintage Office Chair- Fritz Cross- Wooden Very nice antique office chair. Made by the Fritz Cross Co of Saint Paul. MN. In very good condition. Is painted a brown color. Not sure if it is original to the chair although it does look like it. Seat back and seat bottom both adjust. Leather on back and seat looks to be original and in very good condition. No holes, tears, etc. Seat bottom adjusts up by a large screw in the base. It does turn but is hard to turn. I did not turn it enough to adjust the bottom but I don't think that is an issue. Chair frame and base are made of wood. Looks to be an early office chair. Seat base is 16 inches wide by 13 inches deep. Seat back is about 13 inches wide by 7 inches high. Dunbar Mid-Century Walnut Chair Danish Baughman McCobb Probber office arm 50s 60
Offered is a restoration project from Dunbar. This could be a great office chair. Conference, or dining chair. After many hours of research. I am 100 percent sure its Dunbar made, as it has a distinct style with the arm shape peaking at the backrest. I was informed by a Dunbar buyer that this chair was designed by Ray Zimmerman, and was catalog#6060, which dates it to 1960. So thanks to a fellow ebayer! It was made with latex foam over zig zag spings. And orange woven upholstery, that feels like hopsack wool. Size: 30.5 tall. X 25 wideset point, arm to arm, x 24 inches deep. Condition: The chair is as found. With no cleaning or restoration. Original latex foam is powder now. And shedding. The chair is with original material for your upholstery person to replicate the square pleat stitching. Original Tacks. But no tags are present. The material ... moreis stained on the backrest. It might clean up, if you desire the all original look, with new foam installed. Walnut wood on the frame is not scratched. But needs re-oiled or just cleaned. It came from an engineers estate. And was not cleaned or modified. The frame is rock solid. And its worthy of new foam and fabric. Shipping: ACTUAL COST ONLY but its likely a 95 dollar charge with a new box. I will need to ship this Greyhound for the 95 quote. To your local bus station. Fedex will run around 125. As its a large box. Knoll Office Chair Charles Pollock Brown Leather Swivel. Mid Century. Recline.
Dated 1978. Nice condition. Leather has some light wear as seen in the photos. It's still nice and soft. The chrome has some marks that I tried to get a good picture of. The back also has a rub it two that may come off with a little elbow grease. This is the four leg version with plain casters. This also has the reline mechanism.
