No Reserve I really hate to sell this clock but I will be pleased when I find someone who really appreciates this wonderful clock. This clock is working perfectly and very sharply. For sale is a walnut wood/ metal pen and pencil set by Phil Powell and Paul Evans. Constructed of either very rich walnut or rosewood with slate sandwiched together. Pens are also wood construction with steel accents. Excellent original condition with the only flaws being some discoloration near the pen tips from living in their cups. There is also oxidation on the metal fittings. Neither of these flaws are distracting. But are consistent with age. An unusual find at an estate sale is this 1800s Victorian travel writing desk with inkwell. Stuffed full of copperplate handwritten letters. There are over 100 letters, some with envelopes, in the storage compartment under the blotter. The beautiful wood box needs restoration, however, as it is in damaged condition. The front lock is missing, there is a brass curved corner piece missing, and the lid does not sit square- looks like a problem with a hinge adjustment. The felt on the underside is missing, and the blue velvet blotter on the writing surface is stained. A cut glass inkwell is missing its lid. There is a crack in the veneer on the front, and a chip on the back. The inlaid brass straps are present with original patina. The brass oval disc on the lid is loose, and has not been monogrammed. Roll Top Desk, Wood, Heavy, Vintage
Bought this desk from a neighbor in my building who inherited it from her father. My ex neighbor is in her 60s and she said it was always in her life so I'm guessing it's from the 20s or 30s. I don't know what kind of wood it is(oak maybe? but it is very heavy. The top separates from the desk if you unscrew it. Easier to move. I've never polished it or cleaned the hardware, which may or may not be brass. As you can see in the pictures. It has two locks and two keys. They don't work for some reason. The keys fit and they turn but they don't lock. There's also what looks to be an after market. Drilled round hole in the back of the desk so you can use an electrical cord or device and it looks like an after market lighting fixture was installed. I'll be moving soon and am downsizing. Vintage Wood High Chair Converts to Desk and Walker Nice Bunny and Chick Decal
You will fall in love with this darling and versatile baby high chair. I am not sure of its exact age but likely 1930s or 1940s era(this is just a guess) This high chair is made of wood(maple? and has a decal on the chair back that is in nice condition. It features a bunny with a blue top spoon feeding a chick with a pink bib. Both are wide eyed and happy. There are blue. Pink and yellow flowers and a white picket fence. There is some wear to the decal in the area of the chick. There is a yellow tray with a decal on each corner(white lamb, blue fawn, brown donkey and pink elephant, I believe) The wood tray is cracked in a couple of spots, and the chair generally shows some wear consistent with age. This is a board cut out to look like an older school desk top. It is handpainted and signed and measures 20-1/2" x 14" The board was stained and painted blue around the border. Oil paint was done on the bears and then rubbed out in the highlight areas. The scene is of mischievous bears in an old school setting with lift top desks and a border of ABC's and numbers. There is a round hold cut out where an ink well whould have gone. Very cute. Also. There is a wire in the back for hanging. Antique Vintage Wood Chair Swivel Adjustable Office Desk Chair Bank, Courthouse.
The chair is in great vintage condition as shown in photograph. Is solid and have beautiful mechanics. It swivels rocks and is adjustable, up and down for height. I think the seat is leather, turquois colored, very old but in excellent condition. I found the chair in front an old house while collecting garbage for the local county. The house was foreclosed and all the contents were dumped in the front yard. The casters are new, the chair didn't have any.

RARE Satin Wood Secretary Desk Cabinet Hand made Mortise & Tenon Dovetail
Rare Satinwood Satin wood piece that wood grain matches from top to bottom. I cannot find another one even similar to compare this with. The wood grain on the drawers even matches when the front is down. It is dovetail and mortise and tenon construction and in ORIGINAL finish and not restored as it came from a late 1800s home. I have no idea of the maker or craftsman of the piece so if you can provide any additional information on this incredibly beautiful work of art. Please share it with me.
