Offered here for your bidding fun is this set of hand made antique or vintage dollhouse sized schoolroom desks. Books and slates! These appear to be clever, home made miniatures that would fit 4" to 5 1/2" dolls. I show the pieces here with some sweet antique all bisque dolls that are NOT included, but presented for size reference and inspiration. I acquired these whimsical miniature furnishings in a toy box full of vintage doll accessories and furniture. There were several sets of old wooden playthings that I grouped together for sale, and this auction is the result of that effort. The set consists of three old fashioned school desks made from wood. Along with six tiny books and three miniscule slates. One of the desks uses tiny nails in its construction, while the other two desks are held together with glue only. On the desk tops, ... morethe creator colored in two little circular dots that indicate built-in inkwells. You may not be old enough to remember these, but I am! They are styled with bench seating and a places to rest your feet. The tiny desks are quite clever in their design. They measure about 2 3/4" high by roughly 4 1/4" wide and 3" deep. Each student has his or her own miniature composition book, with marbled end papers, just like the full sized versions still in use today, measuring around 2" by 1 3/4" They also have even smaller notepads at their disposal(1 1/4" by 1" All the pages turn on the books, and the covers have tiny, official looking labels. There is even some tiny writing inside one of the books. I can't quite make it out, probably because it is in German or French or something. For the Lover of All That is GOLF is a WOOD BASE WITH PEWTER GOLF BAG& PEWTER GOLF BALL CLOCK. The item is heavy. Weighing 2lbs. It is a Wooden Base w/Plastic Top to look like a"Green/Fairway" with two Pewter Figures- a GOLF BAG resting against A GOLF BALL CLOCK. The Golf Bag has either BROKEN off of its base at the wheels or is meant to move away from the Golf Ball Clock. So PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE GOLF BAG DOES MOVE-it stays in place. It is fastened good and tight on the base. The Golf Bag is nicely designed and has nice details including an"opened zipper; handles, wheels and a push cane handle. The Golf Bag is empty and looks like you could put Pens, Pencils and the like in the Bag. The Bag is 3 1/4" high, 1" wide and 4 1/2" around the center. The top opening is round and 3/4" across. As mentioned, the Golf Bag rests against the Golf Ball Clock. The wheels were fastened to the base, and it has either broken or is meant to"move" The Wooden Base is Clean with minor dinging-please look at photo#8. The Wood Base has a Green Plastic Top that is also clean. The base is 1 1/4" high7"x4 3/4" and 19 1/4" around. Bunk bed set can be separated into two beds or left as a whole. Bottom bed is a futon and can be folded into a couch, includes ladder(not in pictures, was barely used so it's in my closet) two railings(one long and one short) and a three piece drawer set that goes under the bed. Desk has three drawers, and a two layer bookshelf attached. Dresser includes mirror and six drawers. Cool handmade wood desk quartz clock
This cool clock is handmade by a teenager in Colorado. I got this a few years ago from my parents as a gift but I just don't appreciate it as much as someone else could. This is cool looking and handmade from ceder or stained pine. I can't really tell and don't remember. The clock is quartz and is missing the back cover but this does NOT affect functionality of the clock. It allow easier replacement of the battery which I just changed in the last few months. It measures 24 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches deep and is approximately 8 1/4 in height.The exterior wood is pine with a nicely made desk interior constructed of Pear wood with all original brasses. There is detailing on the draw fronts and the drawers are dovetailed contruction. There are six built in letter slots and five draws with one draw is missing. There is a very old Dutchman's patch repair to the front panel of the desk and the original key hole lock is in place. This is a very nice super early item in all original condition as found. Nifty vintage wooden caddy painted red with silver trim. Composed of a main unit with 7 shelves in which to file papers and a side caddy for pens. Pencils, note pads, rulers, etc. Each shelf can be removed although they are all a little stuck; I have not been able to remove one(don't want to force it) Measures 11 1/2" wide x 11 5/8" tall x 10 7/8" deep(overall) The main shelving unit is 8 3/4" wide.
