This is a very unique lamp in many ways. The first photo shows a height of about 22 3/4 inches to the top of the socket. The rear of the socket is 8 1/2" above the ground in the third shot. This lamp has a solid(10 lbs. 5 oz. before packaging) LEAD base with a hammered finish, a longer than usual and quite strong gooseneck, a swiveling right angle socket, and a high strength polymer shade. Most likely industrial, but could have been made for just about anything. The socket retains its original felt covering or finish, and the black paint on both the gooseneck and the base is still in very good shape. The felt below the base is mostly intact but heavily worn and could use a replacement. Works great. Shows its age nicely and suffers no abuse. This is valued well over $6000-$7000 It is a bar. Bottles go in top area. The brass handles were originally fixed to the two top flaps. When you opened the clasp, the bar would rise. Then inside, another draw for bottles. The small front side units are for putting glasses upside down and the side cabinets for glasses. There are issues. It will need some staining, and wood filler where the wood chips have come off over the years. But the beauty is self evident. There were two circles drilled out for cables a decade ago, however the round pieces have been kept so they can be replaced. This is a pick up only.
