This is for the beautiful lamp you see here. Not sure just how old. I am assuming mid 1900's. But not sure. Incredibly gorgeous and decorative, as you can see. The base is a ceramic type material, possibly porcelain finish, but not sure. The on-off switch seems to work just fine, but I am not sure 100% positive. 17" tall. The felt is coming off the bottom. The felted portion is 5.5" diameter. I see no chips in the base, but you may wish to polish it up. You can see a small crack in the glass neck, at the bottom, visible only from one side. Vintage Danish Modern Wall Unit 3 Bay Walnut Mid Century Shelves Desk
This is a vintage. Walnut, mid century modern free standing wall unit. It has 4"rails" so it can be customized to either work as a single"3 bay" setup, or by removing the center shelves, it can be split up into 2 seperate units. Though I don't see any makers marks on it, the aesthetic is scandinavian(danish) from the late 60's or early 70's. 2 of the shelves look like they have been repaired at some point in the past. But they work perfectly well, and depending on how the shelves are arranged, the repair can be hidden quite easily. Otherwise. It's just normal vintage wear. The walnut veneer is a natural one, not formica or anything synthetic, so there are some small dents, a couple misplaced screw holes, and a few spots where the walnut is chipped. Just some normal wear and tear. Structurally it's in ... moreexcellent shape. Overall I'd give this piece a 7 Or 7.5 out of 10 for condition. It measures approx 76" tall. This is a vintage tartan Scottish MAUCHLINE WARE Tape Measure Holder marked"Stuart" in gold lettering on the top. It is missing the tape measure. The tartan transfer is in good condition with some minor wear. There is a small chip on top of the black winder knob not real noticeable I tried to take a picture. The knob does turn without a problem. The tape measure holder measures approximately 2 1/8" tall x 1" wide. Research shows that Mauchline ware was in production in Scotland from the 1820's until 1933 by the firm of W&A smith. It was a wood base with a transfer pattern. The tartan pattern was popular. I have other mauchline ware listed.

Release Blocked by Esquire Lawsuit(see below) 5-1/8" x 5-1/2" Easel Back for Desk Use ESQUIRE LAWSUIT The works of Alberto Vargas first saw publication with Esquire magazine in 1940. Replacing the works of George Petty on the pages of the magazine. In a strange(but no doubt annoying to him at the time) situation. Vargas lost the right to use the'trademark' signature that first made his work famous. All his works with Esquire were signed Varga. Whether the reason for dropping the S from his name was politically minded and an attempt to mask his heritage(Born February 9th 1896. In Peru and only becoming a US citizen in 1939) or merely an aesthetic issue, the ... moreEsquire management of the period insisted on the change and specified the details in his contract. He worked for Esquire solidly through the war years. His calendars for esquire were highly anticipated and equally sought after items throughout this period. In 1946. He left Esquire with plans to produce his own calendars under his own control. In 1947 Esquire published a Varga calendar using works Alberto had done prior to leaving their employ. But crucially, none of the images showed the Varga signature. A bit of creative airbrush work can obviously do wonders and Esquire was not about to give him any free publicity or assistance after he had left the company. In 1948 Alberto had his Varga calendar printed and ready to release when Esquire dropped their bombshell. A court order pointing out that the word'Varga' was copyrighted in Esquire's name and consequently they had a ban on his releasing the calendar. As a result his new 1948 calendar was in trouble, and for the time being, any future works were also tied up in this copyright issue. Vintage Marble Desk Set includes a rocker- type ink blotter. And a larger piece incorporating a pen holder and a calendar. Both pieces are in Very Good Condition. I cannot find a single nick on the stone, and there are no cracks. There is brass plating loss on the metal trim as seen. The perpetual calendar is incomplete, the cards shown are included. The blotter measures 5" x 2" and the pen base/calendar is 5" x 2 1/2" The marble veining pattern is quite beautiful and the pen base has compound angled bevels on the left and right sides.

Up for a no reserve auction. Is a gorgeous antique sterling silver desk set including a repousse inkwell and dip pen. The ink well measures 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" tall. The lid is unmarked. But appears to be sterling. The lid is in overall good condition with no dings, splits or holes. The lid doesn't close all the way. The crystal portion is also in overall good condition with no cracks or holes. There is one minor chip on one side of the inkwell. It is not very noticeable. The sterling silver dip pen measures 7 1/2" long. It is clearly marked"Sterling" It has no holes or splits. There are a couple of very small dings where the nib meets the pen. When the depression hit Western Electric switched from the 102 desk sets to the 202 desk style telephones to save production costs. This is a beautiful Western Electric 102 round base style desk set. These were some of the earliest style Western Electric desk sets with a round base marked on the back below the ... moreswitch hook“B1” The 102(B1 housing-round base) was made only for only 2 years(1928-1929) and it is the model before the 202(D1 housing-oval base) These were the transition between Western Electric candlestick style desk sets and the later 202 desk sets. The number 4 H dial on this round base 102 desk sets. Sit on the top of the base, just like Western Electric dial candlesticks. Dials on later 202 desk sets were recessed into the base of the dial face plate is flush with the base. The#4 dial has been cleaned. Lightly oiled and checked for proper return speed. The face plate has black letters and red numbers. The polished nickel number card holder has a Bell System Logo from the 1930’s and the number card reads: AMERICAN TELEPHONE& TELEPHONE CO.
