It seems to be in pretty good condition. There is a battery compartment on the bottom of this airplane and for what we do not know. We have not put any batteries in the plane just left it like we got it as a desk top airplane. The airplane does have a stand that is attached to the airplane. Maybe this plane makes noises with batteries just dont know. The airplane seems to be in good condition just needs cleaning up some. Picked this up at a sale the other day. Really nice lamp. Has a couple small blemishes that might be cleaned/polished up. I tried to get them in the pics, but you can't really see them. They are really not noticeable unless you really check it out. Rotary switch on top of the shade. Label inside recommends 13 watt compact fluorescent. Dimensions are in the pics.

The S38B is an all aluminum design with flat black paint and a microphone clip that holds several older handheld mics such as the Shure 585. 588, 533SA and several other makes and models at a 45 degree angle. The stand comes with the 3 original rubber pads. This S38B has seen practically zero use as the finish is superb and comes with original paint. Let the pictures be your guide. It is both beautiful and functional(the prior owner bought it at a store that sells display and model furniture) The back side is finished to accommodate middle of the room placement.
