Danish Modern Office Director's Chair Leather Seat Swivel Reclining Solid Wood This is a fabulous Danish Modern style Office/Director's chair with classic modern black leather seat and back strap upholstery. It is adjustable and swivels in all directions. It is all solid nicely grained and stained wood that may be Cherry. But I'm not sure. It is made by the high end maker with one of their earlier studio labels stamped on the adjustment knob of: Asher Benjamin Studios Fine Furniture Makers. It measures as pictured 34 inches tall by about 22 inches wide and 19 inches deep and 19 inches seat height from floor. It weighs about 35 pounds by itself without any packing materials. Here's what I stated about this classic and rare Danish Modern chair's condition: Very good overall condition. Some finish worn away in some small ... morespots on chair. Especially around back arm edges. These can all easily be retouched up with similar colored wood stain. There is a strip of white mark like paint on back right arm corner edge. This can probably be scraped away and re-stained. A couple of the rolling casters are missing parts of their rubber rings on one side of the caster, but it rolls nicely and smoothly and does not make marks. Leather strap seat very strong and stable and very taught and able to withstand substantial amount of weight. Very comfortable. I'm not sure how adjustment mechanism works or if it is just for tilt, but all parts are there with nothing missing. Truly a beautiful and rare. Classically styled chair of exceptional quality, so you may want to grab it quick, before it is gone! I'm not shipping this one overseas. Nor to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada, but only to the lower 48 states via Fed Ex Ground delivery. As you see it in the pictures the seat height is 19 1/2" with an arm height of 29" at that setting. Seat may adjusted in height from 17" to 20" Seat is 18" wide between the arms by 15 1/2" deep. Arms are 23 3/4" at the widest part which is towards the front. I am removing the arms and back for shipping. The arms reattach with 2 bolts each as does the back rest. Eames Herman Miller Softpad Aluminum Group Mid Century Modern Desk Office Chair
This is a vintage. Authentic herman miller softpad management aluminum group chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames, and featured in time life magazine. The chair is a classic. Though it does have a few condition issues. There are some scuffs and scratches on the arms, and small tears on some of the edges of the fabric. The upholstery is faded over time, and the foam is breaking down. It's easy to replace, and actually has a zipper to open it up and restuff the upholstery, so it's a simple enough maintenance issue. The base itself is in working condition. However, the knob to turn for raising and lowering the chair height adjustment has been mishandled at some point, and now the edges are sharp, so gloves may be necessary to adjust it. Once height is set, it's great, but it's by no means in mint condition. Also, if the chair ... moreis lifted upwards,it will slide off the base. Overall. This awesome chair has adjustable seat height and back rest, swivel seat and great wheels, all clean and in great working order. Early Industrial Modern Adjustable Office Chair on Wheels
Very pretty. But all business, this is for a great looking industrial modern office chair with adjustable back and seat on wheels with new upholstery in a beautiful yellow, grey and taupe colored linen ikat. This chair looks wonderful size wise. Colorwise and otherwise with the farmhouse tables I am making and listing seperately. The upholstery is brand new and right up to date. The chair itself is extremely comfortable for spending long hours working and has a metal spring seat with lots of padding. The metal bones of the chair have a look like aged zinc. So I left it as is with the exception of cleaning, but the seat and back can be removed it you would prefer a more pristine painted look. It was originally made by the Steel Case Inc of Grand Rapids Michigan and I will have to check the dates for that company. But Grand Rapids was one of ... morethe earlier furniture centers and I believe that this was one of the first Industrial type chairs made.
