I was told this phone is a dual purpose one. It can be put up on a wall with the receiver hung on the bottom. Or the dial can be rotated so the phone can sit on a desk top. It seems reasonable as the phone both sits and hangs solidly, but I don't know how the dial face is rotated. The receiver is black bakelite but I am not sure about the body. It's not marked anywhere. But I suspect it was made by Trophy Craft of Los Angeles, who made all the Mobil Oil desk accessories you see. This stands about 8 1/2" top to bottom. It is unmolested, undamaged condition, and the gauge seems to be accurate. Felt on the bottom keeps it from scratching the furniture. Gorgeous piece for Coca-Cola enthusiast! No reserve. Vintage Tall Desk Lamp Double Metal Shade, Electric, Too Cool!
I have up for auction a beautiful old lamp. I hadn't seen one like it before. It is app. 19 inches tall and the wooden base is app. 11 inches long and 5 1/2 inches wide. There is a push button on/off switch on the base. The stems don't light up. Just the bulbs. The shades are metal, I don't know if they are tin or what. The inside looks like a brushed metal. They are 5 1/2 inches tall. The top opening is 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The bottom of the shade is 6 inches in diameter. One shade has 2 small scrapes on one side. It looks like a small crease in the metal about 1 1/2 inches long, but I couldn't feel it on the inside of the shade. The bottom of the stand is padded. That's always a good sign of quality. VINTAGE 1930,s Burroughs Adding Machine Co. ADJUSTABLE Metal OFFICE DESK CHAIR
What I could find on this chair: American industrial low lying all metal factory office"posture chair" with swivel casters made by Burroughs Adding Machine Company. Detroit, MI. This is an early 1930's american depression era industrial factory office file clerk or cashier chair designed and patented by Ernest Bacz of Detroit MI. The chair has a contoured thin metal saddle seat with a adjustable back rest. The seat is supported by a centrally located cylindrical shaped telescoping post containing closely space slots for height adjustment. The base has four legs with swivel casters. One of the casters has some wear on outside of caster, see Photo# 11. The casters are stamped Noelting-Faultless, Evansville, Ind. No. 9. The chair is painted green with typical surface wear. See Photos. There is some white paint on leg and bottom ... moreof chair which can be easily removed( will leave that up to buyer) Also included is the seat pad& back pad. These look to be original to chair as there are snaps on the backrest to attach the pad. Seat is approx 17' W x 15' L, backrest is approx. 12' L x 5 1/2' H. Up for sale this week is another piece right out of the aviation desk model display cabinet; an original hard-to-find Aero Novelty Co. Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star ashtray. This particular desk model is in overall good condition and comes with the original canopy and pilot/ cockpit insert as well as both underwing drop tanks. Although the original dark blue glass is long gone. The one included is a suitable replacement until an original comes along. The chrome is bright and there is no pitting as is so often found with these early chrome models, although there appears to be the onset of some oxidization. All decals look good. And it even has the original“Shooting Star” decals along both sides of the nose. The original Aero Novelty paper tag is attached to the bottom along with all three of the early white table“feet” All of the large aviation ... morecompanies. Bell, Boeing, Convair, Douglas, Fairchild, General Dynamics, Lockheed, Martin, McDonnell, North American, Northrop, Republic, Riffe, as well as the US Government, had desk, ashtray, and recognition/ ID models produced to promote their aircraft. In original condition this gooseneck light stands 13 inches tall from base to top. Original cord& working. Black metal shade and base with the grey design on shade i n wood. The on/off switch is plastic. The base is quite heavy. Some light finish loss and paint chipping( see photos) this is a 50 year old lamp. The gooseneck is strong and works great. I can't find any markings- it may have had a label at one time.
