Vtg Steelcase Metal Chrome Office Conference Lounge Arm Chair Pollock Style McM
For auction is one vintage Pollock-style Steelcase conference chair from the 1970s or early 80s. It is in excellent original condition. It has its original wool blend orange upholstery. Gleaming chrome arms and base, and a dark brown plastic shell. The upholstery is clean but does have a few light stains; one on the top edge near the back, another lighter one toward the top of the front, and some discoloration around the arm pads. As you can see from the photos, however, all very minor. The chrome has been polished and is nearly flawless, though there is a small, quarter-inch dent on the column as well as a similar-sized small dark spot a couple inches above it. There is some light wear at the very top edge of the plastic back, as well as a few light, longer scratches on the back(very common to these chairs) The base rests on five glides, ... morebut these could be switched out with casters. The base does not swivel, but is fixed. A beautiful chair very similar in style and quality to the one Charles Pollock designed for Knoll. It measures 25" wide. 26" deep, and 30.75" high. Mid CenturyRolling Office Chair Mad Men Era Very Good Condition
I have here an ALMOST flawless Mid Century rolling and reclining office chair. I LOVE it and would keep it but turns out it is just too heavy for me and my tiled floors deep grooves. Difficult for me to handle. Weighing in at around 56lbs. The seat detaches easily so I weighed the seat back and then the base. This chair is SOLID wood with a gorgeous green fabric and green faux leather. I believe all but one brads are in place except one under the right front arm. This chair is in VERY GOOD CONDITON. The only negative is that I do have a home with pets and my cat has gotten to the chair a couple of times. The nicks shown on the arm(pic 6) are also on the very top of the seat. These marks are minimal but they are there none the less. There is some scuffing of the wood(pic 10) on back right side but it as well is minimal. The bottom is fully ... moreintact. I did not see any cracks in the wood. There are no tears in the fabric, just the dang nicks. For sale is a Johnson Chair Co. swivel office chair. Bankers or secretarial chair. It is solid wood and in great vintage condition. Some scuff marks and scratches, as well as tarnishing to the metal. Some mild splits appear in the seat. All four wheels are included, but one needs to be re-attached. Also, the back is tilted back- it tilts to the upright position when sitting upright, however I cannot lock it in at this position and I'm not sure how. It is in need of cleaning. This is a vintage executive chair made by Leathercraft. It was found last Summer in the estate of an elderly banker. I was told that when he retired they let him keep his chair. It has been in our home as a decorator piece for about 6 months(We are smokers so please note) I don't know much about vintage furniture. I did some internet research on Leathercraft& their new chairs cost up to $4000 depending on color. Details, etc. It stands 40" tall from the floor to the top of the back. The seating area between the arms is about 19 1/2" It does have wear& damage on edges& corners. Someone(not me) put the metal protectors on the back& they are not even. I'm not sure if the roller wheels are original but they are the wheels I got with it. There is a sticker on the bottom that says"Commercial National Bank" ... moreso the history I was told is probably true. Please see all photos& contact me if you have any questions. This is a great looking antique solid wood office style chair. The construction on this piece is phenomenal and it is both incredibly sturdy and well made and also very stylish. It has some wear here and there from age and use but overall looks great and works very well. It does not say a maker that I can see but is very similar Sikes office chairs I have seen. It measures measures 22 1/2" wide x 24" deep x 31" tall. The seat height is 18" but this is adjustable.
