Antique Oak High Back Swivel Banker’s Lawyer’s Executive Desk Chair Wakefield For sale is an antique oak high back swivel banker’s lawyer’s executive desk chair. It is pretty unique with the solid top backrest with scroll top corners. The base mechanism is marked H. B. W. Co. Heywood Brothers& Wakefield Company. That dates it from 1897 to 1921. Swivels and is on casters. This chair is in excellent condition with some minor chips along the left edge of the backrest and a small dark spot on the seat. There are a couple of places where the bolts/ screws need tightening. There are no splits or repairs to the wood. The base was removed at some point. Possibly at the time the chair may have been refinished. I’m not sure. When the base was reattached, new holes were used right in front of the original ones and unoriginal screws were used. There ... moreare also about 4 small holes in the seat bottom, 2 on each side. I don’t know what this was for. The seat is about 17 inches from the ground. The backrest is about 40 inches high. This chair was removed from a storage unit filled with the inventory from a New Hampshire antique shop. This is the last piece of oak furniture from the storage. Up for sale. Is a set of office furniture. This will impress your friends, family, and business acquaintances. This is not the cheap"put it together yourself" from some box store. This is quality furniture that I have owned for years. In this set there is an executive desk that measures 39" deep by 78.5" wide(it is huge! there is a mat inlay on the top of the desk to set the keyboard on so it does not scratch the desk; there are also two gravity fed cord management systems on the top corners of the inlay for cords from keyboard, mouse, desk lamp, etc. It has designed legs and sides as you can see in the pictures. Next, there is a matching filing cabinet with wheels that has two drawers; one to store files and another basic drawer to use as a utility drawer to store whatever you deem necessary. Used Saarinen designed chair. Made by Knoll. According to the tag it appears to have been made in Nov 1987 that would make the chair 27 years old. The original Blue Fabric is present and in good condition with no tears or stains. It could use a light cleaning. Swivel and tilt functions work well, It is a fixed height with the front of the seat 18" from floor to top of seat with the back of the seat a little more than 16" from ground to top of seat. The back of the chair top is 32" in height and the top of the arms are 26" in height. I would prefer a pick up but if you arrange the shipping I will do what I can to help you.
