Herman Miller Caper Multipurpose Operator/Task Chair w/ Flexnet, Arms & Casters
CHAIR IS DAMAGED and needs repair to be operational again. The story: In trying to replace the seat pan. I was unable to remove the bolt attaching it to the main assembly. Sawing the broken seat assembly(see photos) allowed for more leverage on the bolt. However, unfortunately I am horrible with tools, and managed to break a bolt extractor in my attempt to remove the bolt that attaches the seat pan to the main chair assembly(see photo) I will never try to use a bolt extractor again. While I am sad that it is currently beyond my skills to repair it. I hope that someone has the tools and technique to fix an otherwise great chair. All of the aluminum body mechanics. Spring, linkage, and seat adjustment are all in perfect working order. The only issue is the frozen bolt attaching the broken seat pan. For your consideration. One stunning 30 year old Herman Miller arm chair. This color combination is one of the best i've ever seen.Elephant Hide Grey(EG) fiberglass with a dark red(Burgundy/wine) colored naugahyde cover and black edge trim. The only notable condition blemishes are on the seat of the chair.it has a spot that looks as if it was repaired(photos#5& 6) The patch shade is slightly brighter but it was well done and does not effect the seats integrity and one 1/4" slit near the repair that is barely noticeable and very tight. The seat cushion is still soft and the foam springs back and the seam is tight as it was 30 years ago when it was made. It was hard to capture the deep burgundy color in the pictures in daylight(looks brighter red in most photos) but the last picture is pretty close. Herman Miller Fiberglass Shell Chair Stacking Base Orange Mid Century Modern
I believe this Herman Miller Fiberglass shell chair is from the 1950's or 60's. It is in good condition with normal wear from age and use. Such as fading, scratches and some rough spots around the outside edges. A few of the scratches are a little deeper than others, and there is also a chip on the front edge of the seat. Please look at all of the photos to get a good idea of the condition. It comes with the stacking base which is in good condition and all of the round metal feet are present, but there is some surface rust. One of the round rubber bumpers is loose and will probably come off when it is taken apart for shipping. It is marked Herman Miller on the under side of the base with the Herman Miller logo. This is a fabulous vintage 60's Time Life executive chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This chair measures 33-3/4" tall. It is 27" wide and 24" deep. The arms are 23-1/4" tall. The seat is 17-1/2" tall, 22-1/4" wide and 19-1/4" deep. The back is 19-1/2" tall. The chair is good condition, it does show some vintage wear. The back is loose on the left side where the glue is not adhering. There are some edge scuffs and arm wear and a button is missing, please examine all the pictures. This is a genuine Herman Miller Eames Lounge and Ottoman that I am the original owner of since the early 1980s(1983/84) I worked for Herman Miller for over 31 years and this was my first treat on my one year anniversary. It is in the original Rosewood Veneer that Herman Miller stopped using in the 1990s due to their commitment to the environment through the use of renewable wood veneer options. The chair is in great shape though certainly not new as it's been my chair of choice for the past 30 years. I tried to show the wear conditions in the pictures and the leather edge of the Ottoman shows the worse wear. These cushions are stuffed with down feathers and the chair sits as Chales Eames as intended. 50's Eames Herman Miller Parchment/Ivory Chair w Removable Alexander Girard Pad
Listed for sale is a rather rare early fiberglass armchair. It is an early-mid 50's shell by Eames for Herman Miller with an early upholstered pad. This example is a brown and black pad with Alexander Girard fabric. The unique aspect about these chairs is that the pads were not adhered with foam and upholstery to the actual fiberglass. So a finished and beautiful shell is underneath if you desire to remove the pad(a simple pull-off process) I personally think the upholstery looks great and very unique, so I have kept it on. The base is an early x base with solid metal legs. The white area you see is paint or tape(I do not recall) and can be removed with a bit of elbow grease if you'd like me to do that. Essentially, it is a near perfect shell in great shape. Please also refer to many similar items in my store. Fiberglass Excellent ... morecondition with no visible damage. There are also no holes under the chair. Meaning it would be a perfect shell on the opposite side. The finish itself is beautiful. It has not been coated or refinished and is original. Shock Mounts and Screws The shock mounts are all original and are still stable on the chair. Base Excellent condition. I have a couple of original feet for the chair. Which I can send with the chair. Otherwise, I have all black feet I can provide at no cost or NOS feet that I can send along for a minimal additional cost. Pad The upholstered pad is in essentially perfect condition with no wear to the fabric that is visible and no tears. The only notable flaw is four dimples from someone storing another shell chair over top temporarily. They may very well come back up in time. Shipping Options The buyer may pick up the chair. I know that the chair is completely user serviceable but I honestly do not want to tackle it myself. This is a great deal for someone who does not want to pay full price and fix this up themselves. The only problem with this chair is the left 2 levers what make the chair recline, as you can see in the close up of the photo the metal wire is pulled out and pulling the lever simply does not pull the wire. The rest of the features of the chair work perfect and when raising and lowering the chair it is smooth and firm. Chair rolls perfectly and spins around perfectly smooth as well. The hand rest are in great shape with no scuffing. The lumbar support raises up and down just fine. the mesh is all in great condition with no rips etc. perfectly comfortable. Short Story: Here we're offering a small group of dotcom era Aeron chairs that have been largely neglected- until we recently gave them a little TLC. These are"Basic Aerons" explanation to follow- and were relegated to board/waiting-room occasional use for several years: Eventually. They were"robbed" of some of their good parts- so that other chairs could prosper) and put into storage. As part of a clean up and recycle effort: We have replaced the seats and backs. Etc as needed, and installed New pneumatic lift cylinders. Then swapped around some arm cushions. And polished and touched-up as needed. They look great. Are fully functional, tested and guaranteed; and they're ready to roll another 15 years. The BASIC AERON is made of the same parts used in the"FULLY ADJUSTABLE" model. But a couple parts are"not ... moreincluded" and a few features are disabled. Specifically: Height control is the same. Lumbar support(not included) can be added to the back which is the same. Same seat. Same base and wheels. Tilt tension: the knob on the right is present in both models: it tensions the Big Spring which adjusts for the weight of the user and how much force is required to lean back in the chair. The Tilt LOCK is missing. However: this is the mechanism that Stops you from leaning back and keeps you upright regardless of posture or effort. It's a cable operated wedge that blocks the chair from tilting: In the Basic Chair the wedge and gears are there. But the cable and lever are omitted. The Arm support is Not adjustable on the Basic Aeron: the arms are fixed in the middle position. They can be moved with some effort and tools. But not like the Fully Adjustable which can be adjusted quickly with hand operated controls. The arms do not"splay" in three positions as the fully adjustable. Otherwise. It sits the same and It looks the Same.

some fine chairs! they have been through years of use and are holding up good. all have the paper label and double triangle marks. prior owner drilled holes in bottom and used them on the patio for years. before that they were in a barber shop in a small upper michigan town. they are in ironwood michigan right now on the wisconsin border by lake superior and that is where they would have to be picked up. at this auction no shipping local pick up only. the holes should be an easy fix with jb weld because that is about the same color as these chairs and is a good epoxy. the photos are the best description. they do have some wear and on 2 of them a corner on bottom behind where the knee sits is a small stress spot that could be looked into but they all perform well and you hardly ever have the chance to hbuy a whole set of grey ones at one time. ... moreafter this listing they will be sold seperate.

Herman Miller Eames orange fiberglass shell armchair. 1960's era. Chair has original base and can be shipped and sold separately for an additional $50.00. Plastic feet are missing on two back legs. Shock mounts are in good condition. Translucent fiberglass with visible strands. Overall very good vintage condition with no cracks and good finish. Some normal vintage wear includes light scuffs and scratches.

Herman Miller Chair This is a vintage Herman Miller office chair. It is a rolling swivel chair with a strong Mid-Century look. The chair has a 4-way aluminum wheel base with plastic wheels. The height is adjustable when the chair is spun. The back rest height and angle are both adjustable by the use of levers. There are 3 different tags on the bottom of the chair. Which will be shown in pictures. It is clearly marked"Herman Miller" on all tags. The"date of delivery" is listed as 1-17-75. The serial number is 10517. The chair has the following measurements: Height: 30" Height from floor to seat front: Highest position: 30" Lowest position: 16" Seat back height: Highest position: 30 1/2" Lowest position: 28" Width at Widest Point(wheel base) 18 3/4" Depth(seat) 19" This is in great condition ... moreoverall with some general signs of age and use. The original tan upholstery has surface soiling. The sleeves over the center post on the chair bottom are slightly un-aligned. Giving the illusion that the post is bent. It is not bent, and the chair operates as it should. There may be small scratches or spots of wear, but I see nothing else of significance to report. Herman Miller Eames Vintage Chair & Ottoman 670 671. LOOK AT THIS ROSEWOOD!
Would you like something different? All the Eames lounge chairs on eBay basically look the same. Here's a chance to own a unique one that will stand out from all the rest. Without a doubt. The most gorgeous piece of Brazilian Rosewood that I've ever seen. I believe that HM chose to build this chair with the rarer Brown cushions rather than the usual Black, because the Brown compliments the rare piece of rosewood better than the Black would have. I believe the set to be from the mid to late 70's. All parts appear to be original. The brown leather foam-filled cushions have aged nicely. The chair label(s) have been removed; assuredly to show off the highly-figured wood on the seat. The ottoman has a round silver sticker that says"Herman Miller of Canada Limitee Toronto. Cushions: The cushions are soft. Pliable, and comfortable ... moreand clean. There are no tears, rips, nor holes in either the chair or ottoman. The arm rests have some scratches which are shown in the photos. The ottoman has numerous scratches which are apparent when examined closely, but are not that noticeable at a distance. Wood: Amazing figured rosewood. The shells are in excellent condition showing no cracks nor gouges. There may be an occasional scratch from from the 40 years of use. But I didn't notice any but a couple on the chair bottom. Both the seat and main back piece are engraved"144" on the inside. The ottoman has a small chip along the edge shown in the photo. The chair has a small dent along the edge which is also shown in the photos. Shock Mounts: The shock mounts are in solid structural shape and the chair still holds strong. Without the leaning that can be found with other chairs that have failing mounts. I assume all mounts to be original since I see no evidence of the hardware hiding them being removed. Bases and Metal The aluminum bases are in excellent condition. The feet move nicely. Paint is all there, and aluminum still gives off a lovely shine. Shipping Options I prefer local pickup.
