Original fibreglass weave shell in beautiful seafoam green. With an original Eiffel base. The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene. Which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully. In very good overall condition. With just a couple of small scuffs here and there, in keeping with its age, but nothing noticeable. A stunning chair- a totally classic. Very collectable piece. The seat and base will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired- please message. RAW UMBER or greige color with a subtle tinge of green. It's kind of a chameleon and looks gray. Green, or greige depending on the lighting condition. In any case, it's a lovely color and one of the best neutral shades from Eames. This is a 2nd generation post-rope edge chair. One of the early Zenith generation chairs, so it predates the Herman Miller embossment, which first appeared in the late 1950s, and retains the large hockey puck sized shock mounts and thicker edges. This armshell has no cracks but has age-appropriate wear such as surface dirt. Fading, edge wear including a rough spot, stress marks, and superficial scratches, as depicted, but no integral damage. Alexander Girard ORANGE NAUGAHYDE Covered ELEPHANT HIDE GRAY Fiberglass Zenith Shell with Brown Painted back This is one of the early Zenith generation chairs. Most of the upholstered chairs with the detachable naugahyde covers were factory painted. This was painted brown. Since this chair is from one of the earlier generations. The edges are noticeably thicker and therefore sturdier than subsequent shells. This auction is for 1 lemon yellow shell chair. Chair is in excellent vintage condition. Sturdy& completely useable! Shell does exhibit some age-appropriate wear as shown in the pictures-some minor scratches, scuffs and very faint fading particularly on the back of chair as seen. Of note, this chair has a large veneer piece missing from the bottom(see pic) This is not visible during normal use and does not detract from the overall appearance.
