Antique Secretary pull down writing desk, glass front top, 3 drawers bottom
This desk measures: Top glass front section: 26" tall x 10" deep x 31 wide. distance between the shelves is: 8" They are equal and are not movable. There are 2 shelves making 3 spaces for books, display items etc. The glass doors swing easily and there is a lock that works with a key( included) The left side has an inside clasp under the top shelf to keep it closed. There were at one time X shaped minions on the glass that still have a faint impression in the glass. May be removable-I never tried. Bottom Desk/drawer section: 39 1/2" tall x 16" deep x 31 1/2" wide. The drawers on the inside are 27 1/2" wide x 6 1/4" high x 13 1/4" deep. Each of the 3 drawers are the same size and all slide freely. Desk section: The swing down desk writing surface that closes to a slant measures 11 1/2" deep ... morex 30 1/4" wide. The hinges are sturdy. There are no underneath bars or braces. The remaining desk surface that is existing that goes in from the fold down section measures 15" deep. There are 2 small drawers. One on either side, the drawer inside dimensions are: 6" x 5 3/4" x 1 1/2" deep They both slide freely. Above each drawer are 2 upright letter sections each measuring 7" deep x 3" wide x 4 3/4" high. There is a flat section between the small drawer/letter sections that measures 9" x 7" deep x 9" wide. There is space on either side of this cubby section for taller ledgers, books etc. that measures 2 1/4" wide x 10" tall x 7" deep. This is a very practical and well laid out inside section for various storage. Still useful today for lots of desk type items. Total height is: 65 3/4" The pieces are connected and not easily separated. The desk overall is in very good condition. Even though it is quiet simple in design. The outside is finished off nicely. BEAUTIFUL DESK TOP INK! CUT CRYSTAL GLASS! STAINED GLASS! COPPER OR BRASS METAL?
This is a beautiful and ornate desk top ink set that is very well made. Someone had spent a lot of time on this item because it looks to be all hand made. The two ink wells are made of cut and polished crystal glass and both have a framed. Stained glass metal top, with a flower pattern. They look to be built in pieces and the metal looks to be hand crafted. The top of the ink well on the left side doesn't open all the way and has a small section of the stained glass broken inside the lid. This might have to be filled in again unless someone could remove the broken piece that is inside. The glass used is a banded green milk-glass. The metal is not magnetic and one lid shows corrosion, so I'm guessing this is copper and was plated to make it shiny. Most of the shine has worn off other than a few spots and on the bottom plate of the ... morebase. The ink wells are very well made and crystal clear with only two small bubbles visible. The glass has been cut and then polished, showing irregular sized bevels on the corners, which are not uniform. Without the metal top, the ink wells measure 2" tall and 2 1/16" square. With the top they measure 2 3/4" tall. All the corners are beveled and polished. The stand is only 3/8" thick with the base plate and measures 4 5/8" x 8 1/2" rectangular. It appears to be cut out of one solid piece of metal and then smoothed out. All of the three screws that hold the base plate secure show early age but also seem to be different from each other and three of them are missing. This is a purchased item and it looks to be very old but I cannot give an approximate age because I am not yet familiar with such items. It has to be atleast a hundred and thirty years old though, considering the techniques used to make the item. The whole set shows great workmanship and it is very attractive. It would look great sitting on top of a large desk, which I will not have in the near future, so I have decided to share with someone who would appreciate this beautiful item. Thank

Antique Handel Era Mission Arts Crafts 8 Side Slag Glass Gothic Superb Desk Lamp
Here's an extremely ornate and beautiful circa early 1920s octagonal gothic style desk lamp. There are 8 wonderful early slag pieces on the top and bottom of the lamp. Encapsulating the light. This is absolutely stunning and is all original as I purchased the lamp 30+ years ago. One of the nicest and most unusual lamps ive ever seen. The original lamp hardware was made by Weber Patents 250 w universal. The lamp is unmarked or perhaps I'm completely missing the makes mark. Heavy lamp weighing 13.4 lbs. The fire slag has beautiful reds, oranges and amber color and is absolutely stunning in the natural light. The solid base is wondrous and has some extremely ornate detail, covered in fleur de lis style designs. Lamp measures roughly 25" tall from bottom of base to top of ornate finial. The shade itself measures roughly 12.5" ... morewide by roughly 12" high and the base of lamp is roughly 6.75" wide. There's one small break/chip in the slag on top of the lamp as seen in the top shade flipped upside down image. The lamp disassembled quite easily as seen in the last picture. Up for bid is a stylized Tiffany Paperweight the is slant cut glass with what appears to be a human figure in some sport activity. It measures 4 5/8" tall and also 4 5/8" across. The signed base says Tiffany& Co and is 1 1/2" wide tapering to 3/8" at the top creating an interesting form. We do not have the original box. There are no chips or cracks. Excellent condition. No reserve for this lot of guaranteed authentic original Tiffany Studios green slag glass pieces. All taken at different times from damaged Tiffany desk pieces. If you need to replace cracked pieces in your desk pieces, you can use these original Tiffany glass pieces and cut them to size instead of using that noticeably off-color/off-texture new replacement glass. Note: most of the pieces still retain the soiled original patterns of Grapevine and Pineneedle, see photos, easily washed off. Other segments may be cleaner or have other residue/marks on them, all removable. Sizes vary, see comparison to Cola can in first photo for detail.
