I am selling a SIMON PEARCE clear glass desk. Shelf or mantel clock. The glass is 3-¾ inches tall and 4 inches wide. The clockworks were made by SILCON ELECTRONICS with a movement made in Japan and a case made in China. The Simon Pearce label is still on the front. The bottom has the etched Simon Pearce facsimile signature. It is in excellent condition with just a couple of scratches on the back. There are a few small areas along the perimeter that look like nicks. But they are just air bubbles within the glass. I just put in a fresh battery. Here is a beautiful vintage 8-Drawer Wood Desk. Circa 1940's. I couldn't find a maker's mark- although I didn't look underneath- but it looks a lot like Desks made by Maddox of New York. This Desk is well-built and solid- each Drawer features Dovetail construction. This Desk has an imbedded red Leather Top. With gold detailing, Brass Drawer/Side Handles and a 3/8" thick piece of Glass on top. There are three Drawers on the top- a smaller Drawer on each side and a large Drawer in the middle. Below these top Drawers there are three Drawers on the left side and two Drawers on the right side; the bottom right Drawer is a two-Handled File Drawer. This Desk is in good condition for it's age.
