This brass inkstand which looks to date from the turn of the century is beautifully decorated in a typically Art Nouveau fashion with decorative reeds/plants etc. It has retained the original and very heavy bevelled glass inkwells which comes with matching brass lids. I have also included a very nice Conway Stewart No.76 fountain pen complete with 14 carat gold Conway Stewart nib. This unusual Swiss made Remembrance brand clock was made by SEMCO in the 1960s. Has 4 synchronized faces and are marked: PACIFIC MOUNTAIN CENTRAL& EASTERN for the 4 time zones. There are also N E S W brass markers on the outer perimeter of the round bezel. Everything on this clock is made of metal& glass. The square measures 6" x 6" x 1/2" thick and the base measures 10" wide x 1.8" deep. The base is made of solid brass with polished edges and the fancy side supports are made of polished brass. Total weight is a hefty 5.0 lbs. The large center hand shows the minutes and the smaller hands show the various hourly positions. The 8 day windup movement has a winder on the back. There is also a time adjuster knob that is used to set the minutes and hours and all four time zones stay in sync as you turn the minute ... morehand knob. Solid Cherry Desk Vanity w/ Inlay, Orig. Mirror & Brass Pulls, Glass Top
Vanity was purchased in North Carolina. It is an strong/solid furniture that has been well taken care of by one owner. It has a thick cut(deep south glass) to cover the top. The previous owner had photos of her family and places they had gone under the glass top. It was quite moving showing what seemed to be most important in her family's life span. There is a slight dark spot on top left side of vanity that seems to been from something hot being laid on the top but is not real noticeable. It is where one would probably have items for their dressing table covering the area with decorative powder dish or jewelry box. I could easily see this vanity being handed down through many generations of a family.

The solid bronze piece has a green verde finish. Dark walnut(veneer) base, and the slag glass is a dark cream and caramel color. There is an old piece of blotting paper on. It is not marked. Size: 2 3/4"w X 5"l- approx. dimensions Quantity: 1- Blotter Condition: VERY GOOD- metal and glass are in great shape. The wood has small scratches and a few pieces of veneer missing. Other than needing a good cleaning(it's dusty) it is a wonderful and hard to find piece. The last few photos were shot without a flash and the color is off. Houston, Texas stamped on it and a 6" cardboard ruler from Chase and Sanborn Coffee which has some missing lettering on back of the ad section. Also in the lot is a pair of folding scissors marked Germany which are 4" long when opened and another 4 1/2" long pair of scissors. There is a keychain with slide on side which will move to bring open small pages with caloric counts of food on them which has been used but is still good. There is a paper envelope with metal tin containg Webber's transfer Stamping Paste. Envelope is torn and tin has some rust and couldn't open it to see if anything was still inside. The Waterman's Fountain Pen box is empty, 6" long, and still very good. The red A.W. Farber box has 2 red and 1 green crayon type pencils which appear never used. Up for Auction is a beautiful Aqua Blue glass desk set.It has 3 ink wells and a stamper pad and tray 5 pieces.2 small ink wells are aprox. 2 1/4 x little over 1 inch.Tray 5 1/2 x 2 3/4,stamper or sealer 4 1/4, large ink well 3 x 31/4. There are no cracks in any of these,they do have a few minor very small chips on one of bottom small ink well, one on bottom of stamper sealer, large ink well has metal rim on lid missing,this is just normal wear from years of use, I think chips can be buffed out and metal rim replaced.
