It is petite and it is made with SOLID OAK. It has its original finish. The HUTCH and DESK DOORS have simple leaded glass fronts. It is accented with large nail head accents inside and outside down near the bottom of the desk. All the hardware is original. The approximate age of this desk is early late 1800- 1900's. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with the exception of the leather across the top has a small burn mark and the arch at the top of the hutch is missing one wood peg. Both of these imperfections can be fixed easily if you choose to do so. Please see pictures for a better visual descriptions. Here we have a stunning Art Deco style blue glass and chrome desk lamp modeled as a DC3(I think! aeroplane. These models were reproduced by a company Sarsaparilla in the recent past and although this one bears no markings as to its manufacture I assume it is by them. The fuselage is made from molded blue glass and lights up when turned on. The wings and tail fin are made from chromed metal and is very much in the Art Deco style. It is fitted with a UK 3 pin plug. Measurements(approx) The whole thing measures 9" 230mm) high and nose to tail it is 12" 305mm) Condition; Almost no issues to report. The glass isn't chipped or cracked. The light works well, although it is a little dim, more a display piece than something you could use for actual lighting. ANTIQUE FRENCH ENAMEL HP ART GLASS DISH DESK SET GOLD TRIM BACCARAT CUT POLISHED
Up for your consideration is this scarce& fabulous antique hand painted French Enamel Desk Set. The tray/dish is similar to Baccarat's work. The hand painted enamel flowers are exquisite and the cutting and polishing of the dish was done by a master craftsman. The tray/dish is cut& polished on the rim and painted with gold gilt. The bottom of the tray is also cut& nicely polished. All four sides have enamel painted flowers and scroll designs. The dish measures 1-3/4" by almost 5" and is 1-1/2" tall. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is slight gold wear to the rim. The 4 desk blotter pad corners are also hand painted enamel with small flowers. I believe that they are also French. But not quite sure about the maker. Possibly Baccarat, Mont Joye or Legras. The corners each measure about 5-1/4" on ... morethe longest side, and 3-3/4" on the other 2 sides. Two of the corners have chips. One is very tiny on the very corner edge. The other is somewhat larger and more noticeable. Auction is for a rare and gorgeous vaseline ink well desk set. They don't make things like this anymore! Item is in very good condition for it's age. The most noticeable chip is pictured and located on the pen holder. Please see picture for up close visual. The chip is pretty small. There are some minor flea bites and some rough edges. Mold marks and scratches located in the center. I attempted to capture the flaws in the piece in the displayed pictures. On the bottom is"PAT. APPLIED FOR. This is an old piece. Large Tiffany Ball Clock 1890- 1910 This is a classic Tiffany& Co. ball clock with tons of character and charm. It's a substantial clock. Weighing 4 pounds 5 ounces and measures 4 1/2" wide x 6 3/8" high. The clock keeps time beautifully. It has not been opened to clean. The movement is marked"15 JEWEL" and"SWISS MADE" The clock runs for one day before requiring a winding. I took this desk clock to the National Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia. PA and they were unable to determine who made the movement. We looked in their Tiffany& Co. book as well as a book on ball clocks but were unable to determine who made the movement.
