For auction is one vintage GF Goodform Model 6023 in a black wool blend upholstery. It is a rather"warm" black. And could be mistaken for a very dark brown in a certain light. It is in excellent condition, and has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed, including the upholstery. The backrest column and four-prong base are made of solid aluminum, and the metal stock is made of steel. All mechanical adjustments function properly, and the casters roll nicely. It retains the original tag underneath. There are some scratches in the finish on the backrest column and base consistent with age, the most noticeable of which I've photographed. This is a wonderful old labeled and signed Heywood Wakefield desk chair. It appears to be constructed of a combination of maple in the legs. Seat, and arms, with the balance of the spindles and bent parts being ash. It has a rich dark golden brown finish that is all original and unrepaired and unretouched. This chair is in very good condition, still very tight and sturdy, and an absolute delight to sit down in- the most comfortable wooden chair I personally have ever sat down in. This chair has belonged to my 96-year-old father since it was inherited by him from an elderly cousin 18 years ago. We suspect that it may have been purchased new by her, as she worked at Famous Barr in St. Louis in the 1930's& 40's. Vintage Industrial Factory Office Desk Chair on Casters Machine Age
Here we have a neat old desk chair with a great industrial look. It doesn't have a makers name on it that I can find. It has an adjustable back rest and the seat is made to adjust up and down as well. But I can't figure out how it works. The casters are in good shape. The seat also swivels back and forth, but not completely around. The chair is adjusted to it's lowest position as seen in my photos. The metal base looks like it was repainted at one time. As it is pictured. The back measures app. 31" high and the seat is 18" high. The seat measures app. 16" across and 12" deep. We will remove the back for shipping, to save on cost. Heywood Wakefield Westwood Writing Desk and Chair
Heywood Wakefield Desk- Westwood" finish. Desk was restored in 2000 for Piccolo Pete's vintage furniture in Sherman Oaks. California(where I purchased it) The top drawer is the full width of the desk. There are four drawers; two on each side. The desk is in very good condition and makes a wonderful attention-grabbing decorative piece. It has acquired some knicks and scratches in the past 14 years which are noticeable when under closer examination, as indicated in the closer photos. The chair is not Wakefield but was identified as a piece that would go nicely with the desk(which it does) and was reupholstered in 2000 in dark blue/navy soft fabric. The desk measures 43.5 inches wide; 29 inches tall, and 17.5 inches deep.

Matching Vintage Black Flip Top Secretary Desk & 1964 Nichols & Stone Chair
Last photo is 1964 original catalog ad as provided by Nichols& Stone. Chair by itself worth $100+ Desk: The top folds down to reveal an interior with 3 drawers with two sets of small knobs each. Above the drawers are 4 cubby shelves. One knob is missing. The exterior of the flip top has the lock face plate missing. The keys are missing and are of the hollow tip skeleton type of cabinet key. The flip top is also damaged around the locking mechanism and slightly by the upper right side corner. It's as if the keys were lost and the top was eventually forced open. Damage to the lock on the flip top is unknown. Outside of the damage sustained from prying the top open. There seems to be only normal wear for a piece that had been used. The desk itself appears to be made of maple and poplar. Maple for the main body and poplar for the interior ... moreshelves and drawers, the lower drawer, and the desk back. Unsure if legs were turned on poplar or maple but poplar is assumed. There is a slight wobble possibly due to wear on the bottom of the legs. There isn't any type of foot hardware that seem to be missing. The locking mechanisms on both the flip top and the lower drawer use the same type of key and both are inlaid between the front and false front of the top and drawer. Dimensions: Weight: approx. 50 lbs. Closed: 34 3/8"h x 30.5"w x 19.5"d The flip top opens to an additional 12.5" There are no additional supports for the flip top. However the lower drawer can be opened to provide that support. 1 Antique Oak Desk& Chair Overall dimensions of this desk are 35" deep X 46" wide X 30 1/2" high. The hutch part of the desk is 17" Deep X 46" Wide X 21" High. The depth of the back filing section of this desk is 13" Deep and app. 46" wide. This desk is much different than any that I have seen. It is a desk. With hutch that sits on top and is held in place with 4 dowels, one of which is broken. The desk has 12 drawers all of which are original and work. There are no guides, they slide on the wood. The drawer locks that hold the other drawers shut/locked all work and are not broken in any manner. The locks on the drawers do work but some how I have managed to lose the keys to this desk. The hutch has 4 drawers 16"cubby holes" for storage and one pencil holder drawer on the right and only ... morethe front piece of the left pencil holder. Also on the hutch is a pencil holder that attaches tot he side but is not attached. it got knocked off when moving it out of my house, still in one piece but not attached) The locks also work on the hutch drawers but again, I have lost the keys. The back section of this desk is what makes it very different and sort of unique. It has a filing section in it. There are two doors that also have a lock without a key. The left door has a latch and the right door locks. There are several"cubby holes" with some of the original paperboard boxes/trays and there are also other section in different sizes back there. Some of the boxes have markings on them such as insurance claims. Losses etc. I had the desk refinished and cleaned the best it could be without over sanding and damaging the original look and feel of the desk in 1976. The top of the desk has not had the leather put back on it. You can see where it was damaged and mostly removed to still use the desk. The fully functional brass hardware and triple banister post back. Coupled with the corkscrew design for raising and lowering the chair height is such a clever and inventive design. It is also very strong and sturdy! They just don't make chairs this durable any more! You can truly feel the history when you see this set. It is a great little set. The desks roll top is fully functional and there are little cubby cubicles inside for storage. There are 2 smoothly sliding drawers with a skeleton key type lock. No key though. The desk and chair both have the normal wear and tear marks from the last almost 100 years. But they both in pretty good shape considering it was used by children. A very nice antique. Circa 1920's- 1930's, Louis XVI style kidney desk in the round(may also be used as a vanity. It has satinwood veneers with oil painted flowers, the drawer interiors of oak. The six cabriole legs are carved, the legs and trim in the original ivory enamel paint. It has a matching finish chair, new upholstery. The desk measures 30" tall by 43" wide 19" deep. From bottom of center drawer to floor is 23" tall, the kneehole 16" wide from leg to opposite leg. The chair is 35" tall by 16" wide by 17" deep. Very good condition: desk without case chips or cracks, some wear to enamel finish on leg, satinwood veneers without ring spots or fading, floral painting fine. The chair has minor enamel wear. The following auction is for a Student Desk made by Virco. It is blue in color. It is used. Its a little dusty from being in storage and could use a good cleaning. Its in decent shape. The worst part I see is the staining on the seat. It looks like something was spilled at one time. I don't think this would come out. I didn't really try scrubbing it.But it looks like its into the blue pretty good. Other than the stained seat.The rest of the desk is in excellent shape. Antique 1800's Chandler School Desk & Haywood Desk Chair Cast Metal Legs & Base
Up for auction is an incredible survivor set of an antique 1800's schoolhouse desk and chair set in maple. This set is in very original condition with original finish and initials carved. The ink well is missing but that is about it. These go very well together and came from the same source although I cannot verify they originally worked together. The desk is marked"Chandler" and"The Boston" on the cast iron legs. There are no other markings. The bentwood chair is in excellent condition and marked"Haywood 3 Eclipse" There are signs that both desk and chair cast iron areas were once gloss black enamel. These would look so cool if repainted. No serious rust but the black is mostly gone. A wire wheel on a drill would make quick work of this. The desk measures 24" wide x 16" deep x 30" tall. 1 Antique Oak Desk/Chair, UnionStation, St.Louis, "Secret Compartment Desk"
1 Antique Oak Desk with"Secret Compartment" Chair Overall dimensions of this desk are 35" deep X 46" wide X 30 1/2" high. The hutch part of the desk is 17" Deep X 46" Wide X 21" High. The depth of the"Secret Compartment" back filing section of this desk is 13" Deep and app. 46" wide. This desk is much different than any that I have seen. It is a desk. With hutch that sits on top and is held in place with 4 dowels, one of which is broken. The desk has 12 drawers all of which are original and work. There are no guides, they slide on the wood. The drawer locks that hold the other drawers shut/locked all work and are not broken in any manner. The locks on the drawers do work but some how I have managed to lose the keys to this desk. The hutch has 4 drawers 16"cubby holes" for ... morestorage and one pencil holder drawer on the right and only the front piece of the left pencil holder. Also on the hutch is a pencil holder that attaches tot he side but is not attached. it got knocked off when moving it out of my house, still in one piece but not attached) The locks also work on the hutch drawers but again, I have lost the keys. The back section of this desk is what makes it very different and sort of unique. It has a filing section in it. There are two doors that also have a lock without a key. The left door has a latch and the right door locks. There are several"cubby holes" with some of the original paperboard boxes/trays and there are also other section in different sizes back there. Some of the boxes have markings on them such as insurance claims. Losses etc. I had the desk refinished and cleaned the best it could be without over sanding and damaging the original look and feel of the desk in 1976. The top of the desk has not had the leather put back on it. You can see where it was damaged and mostly removed to still use the desk.
