Apparently manufactured in the 1st quarter of 1960, as it is marked"1Q60" on top of the base and on the underneath of the seat, The padded vinyl? covering on the seat and tiltable backrest are in excellent condition with no rips or tears, save a 1/8" long puncture to the seat's right front corner area and a 1/4" surface shave that appears did not go through on the other front corner. The casters(wheels) swivel and has some rust that should clean up/off fairly well. The height of the chair seat is adjustable from about 27" up to about 32" The foot rest/ring on the base has an outside diameter of about 18 3/8" and is 12 1/4" up from the floor. V ery well built. 50s Royal Metal MFG Industrial Shop Chair Stool Adj Height 360 Swivel on Casters
Nice. Solid all-steel 1950s Shop Stool by Royal Industrial Seating/ Royal Metal MFG Co. This chair works just like it should. I don't believe the casters are original. But they are older and they work fine(I'd just WD40 them so they swivel most freely) The seat deck has an adjustable height from 22" to 28" which also works fine, but the original lock twist is missing and replaced with a finger twist screw that does the same thing. Otherwise this Industrial Shop Stool is entirely original. 360 degree rotation, and the seat back is also adjustable. Solid, heavy welded steel in machine gray with wooden deck seating plank firmly in place. Labeled on the underside as shown. Antique wood desk swivel chair on casters
I don't know how old this chair is. My father always said he remembered it as a child; he did not know when his father got it. That being so. It would be at least 85 years old. The casters work smoothly and are original. No cracks in the wood or pulled screws. Sound joints. Solid hardware. The spring that tensions the back rest is in 3 pieces and I can't tell if that's intended or if it broke, though I suspect the latter. Tensioner still works, but seems I recall when I was a child that the backrest had more travel. Adjustable seat height. It's actually in remarkably good condition with incredibly few appearance dings. Pic shows the smudge of white paint on the seat front edge; and there are a few spatters of white paint on the seat. It probably would shine up almost to new, though that may not be the appropriate thing to ... moredo to an original piece that could be 100 years old. It is, of course, real wood-no composites. Maximum seat measures: 15 1/2" front to back; 15 5/8" side-to-side; 1 5/16" thick. Back measures about: 13 7/8" wide x 6 7/8" high x 9/16" thick. Backrest stem is about 19 1/2" long x 1 1/2" wide, from 7/8"1 1/2" thick. Leg spread about 17 1/4" The close up of the caster shows you: a) we haven't cleaned it; b) casters have ball bearings; c) casters are sized to run on hard surface. I will ship via a 3rd party shipper-I take the chair to FedEx or UPS. You deal directly with them for packing and transport and payment of their services. It weighs about 24# probably would ship in a carton 20x20x20 about 30# depending on your instructions to the shipper. Vintage Industrial Factory Office Desk Chair on Casters Machine Age
Here we have a neat old desk chair with a great industrial look. It doesn't have a makers name on it that I can find. It has an adjustable back rest and the seat is made to adjust up and down as well. But I can't figure out how it works. The casters are in good shape. The seat also swivels back and forth, but not completely around. The chair is adjusted to it's lowest position as seen in my photos. The metal base looks like it was repainted at one time. As it is pictured. The back measures app. 31" high and the seat is 18" high. The seat measures app. 16" across and 12" deep. We will remove the back for shipping, to save on cost. Antique Machine Age Industrial Chair Stool Steel Do-More Casters Adjustable UHL
Here we have a great Machine Age industrial chair. This chair is made of steel and I have seen people listing them as UHL Toledo and also as Do-More stools. I have not seen any markings on this chair to indicate either of them as being the brand. The casters are Bassick casters and as you can see from the photos there is some wear and chipping to the wheels. Photo 10 shows the worst of the chipping to one of the wheels. As you can see from the photos this chair has been repainted and maybe recovered but it was obviously done awhile ago. The back rest of the chair is about 31 inches tall and the back rest is about 15 inches wide. The seat is about 17 1/2 inches tall and is 12 1/2 inches by 16 inches. Made in England circa 1900 Walnut frame New leather Scooped seat Good. Sturdy condition, This is a really sharp looking antique desk chair from England. We estimate it was made around 1900. It has a solid walnut frame and leather upholstery. This chair has several good looking features which really dividing into two categories: frame and upholstery. The frame is walnut and remains very sturdy today. It has a beautiful light brown patina that would go well with a variety of wood types. The seat is a“scooped” seat which means the part you sit on ... morewas actually scooped out with a tool from a large solid piece of wood. In this case the seat is made from two halves joined together. The arm rests and front legs are turned and have nice detail on them. The front legs also end in brass casters with brown porcelain wheels on them. They join to the back legs with an“H” stretcher which provides plenty of support. The dark brown leather is new to the chair. Probably added to replace worn upholstery/leather. The leather is very soft and comfortable and is in pristine condition. Overall this chair is in good condition. There is a slight separation where the two seat halves join. And a smaller separation on the right side of the seat(very small) These are cosmetic only(due to the shrinkage of wood over many years) and do not affect the structural integrity of the chair. In fact, this chair is very sturdy, and ready for immediate every day use. This is a comfortable and beautiful antique desk chair that anyone would be happy to have! Very cool vintage MCM desk chair in fabulous kelly green nubby fabric(most likely wool) No label but most likely by Steelcase. And after the Charles Pollock Executive Chair for Knoll(without the buttons on the back) The fabric is a thick weave in a great, bold shade of green, most likely wool. The base is chrome(needs a little steel wool love, but in good shape) There is a handle beneath the seat to control the tilt. Good vintage condition. Upholstery needs a good vacuuming or ideally steam cleaning— but no tears or rips to fabric. And no major stains. Biggest“concern” is the rubber trim on the backside upper edge got too close to something hot and melted in a 2" segment(see photos) Still has tons of life left. 6 VINTAGE SHEPERD BRASS CHAIR FURNITURE CASTERS & TRED GUARDS
I don't know anything about casters so I will describe them as best as I can. They are 3 5/8" long. The tip that would slide into the furniture is 5/16 wide. Each has a tred guard. I did not remove the guards. There is an extra guard. There is a little metal thingy that was in the box so I will send that with the casters. The widest side of the tred guard is 2 1/8" across. Feel free to ask questions. Calculate shipping. They are heavy.
