This is a very nice vintage Starrett#436 2-3 inch micrometer with the orignial wooden box. Spanner and information sheets. The enamel is in excellent conditon, without names or initials inscribed on it. The micrometer has been ultrasonically cleaned and lubricated and operates smoothly throught its range. It looks and operates as if it was new or nearly new. It has NOT been calibrated. It has the original dovetail box, which is in very nice condition, but shows signs of use and a couple of the dovetail joints are slightly loose. H.W. Robinson 10-21-49" is hand written on the back of the box, as shown on the last photo. This would make an excellent addition to your collection or when calibrated for use.
