Very Nice set of Mitutoyo Micrometers. All have carbide faces. They're Tenths(0001" reading, and all have functioning thumb locks. 0-1" and 1-2" have friction thimbles. The rest are ratchet thimbles. These mics came out of my toolbox and I used them with confidence, they are very accurate. The enamel(blue coating) has some chips, mostly on the 0-1" and 1-2" as seen in pics. This item operates great and requires only a roll up or down the arm in order to pare this item through its entire stroke. The beautiful wood case is 20" X 12" and is in excellent condition. The depth mic has a six(6) inch base on it. This container has an individual slot for each rod thus not requiring one depth rod to be kept inside the micrometer which only enhances rust. This item has an etching on both it and the box that corresponds to someone's control number.

These Micrometer been in my basement for ten years oiled them before I put them away. But I got them out for some reason my 1-2 mic wont turn and my 2-3 turns a little harder then the others. 0-1. 3-4, 4-5, and 5-6 work great no problems. Just wanted to be honest about the other 2 maybe an easy fix but i didn't want to mess them up.
