Has some wear and tear and rust and pitting on the shafts- has been repainted and but runs smooth and strong. Rotates counter clockwise at shaft end of bottom shaft as you face the nameplate. The shafts are 1/2" diameter flat sided about 1 1/2" long. The top shaft has a sleeve making it@ 5/8" I will ship insured. Local pick-up available.

The electric motor also includes the 3" pulley. The motor runs nicely. The shaft or rotor assembly turns freely and smoothly in its' frame. There isn't any indication of rubbing, scrapping or unevenness of the spinning rotor. The motor also appears to be very clean.

This is a used 1/3 or 1/9 HP Emerson Electric Motor model number S63NXSSE-6954. It is 115 Volt. 1 PH, 1725 RPM or 1140 RPM. It is 5.9/3.7 amps, thermally protected, non-reversible CW. rotation shaft end. The motor is attached to a small metal stand. The stand looks like it is intended to swivel on each end. It has a jury rigged male plug attached to the original power cord from the machine. It also comes with a belt for the pulley end. I plugged it in and it runs fine. This is a used motor. It has been in service at some point and also repaired at some point. It was acquired from a university. The evidence suggests they would replace bad motors with new motors and then repair the bad motors. If possible, and shelf them for the future. This motor has a tag that says it received new bearings in 2001. Whether it was ever placed in service again after 2001 is unknown. I hooked it up and ran it for 20 minutes and it worked and was reasonably quiet. I did not run it under load.
