Stahls Mighty Lite Heat Transfer Press, Manual Open Clam-Shell, 11" X 15" Platen
If you have a need for a name-brand but inexpensive used heat transfer press.this might be the one! This older press is made by Stahls. A recognized, made-in-America press. It must be opened manually.no pop-up feature as on the newer ones. It was tested to power on and heat-up. But I am not a person who uses this kind of equipment so I was not able to test it further. Info from the mfg can be found under the last picture on this page. Please scroll down through 17 pictures; text between some pictures. Unit is mounted on a board and will be shipped that way as it will give a good base for packing and is only a little wider and longer than the unit itself. Unit is in very good shape; upper and lower platens are ready to go to work. Pics above and below show the 11" x 15" platen surface. Knob above adjusts pressure for lock-down. The ... moreheat control knob is currently sitting at 325 and that is the left-most position as the knob is mounted. When it rotates to the right(clockwise) it rotates beyond the maximum setting shown on the scale. It came this way and I think that rotational movement would exceed the scale setting no matter how the knob was fastened to the metal stud inside. I'm assuming the mfg made it this way. Pics just above and below show the only wear to paint. These are on the two horizontal shafts; each scrape is about 1/2" Mounting board measures about 16" x 25" weight will be around 40 pounds when packed. 2007 Stahls Hotronix STX 16x20 Clam Shell Heat Press. I've owned the press for 2 years. The only issue I've had with it is I think the pressure calibration is off. Most of the transfers I press suggest 45-55 psi and I press those at an 8 setting to get the best results. About a month ago I had someone replace the control board. And I don't think it was calibrated correctly at that time. Here's a video that shows the press in operation(recorded today) Just pressed a cut up piece of a transfer on a scrap piece of t-shirt material. Press was at 400 degrees. 12 seconds, 8 pressure. The press auto-opens in the video. However it normally doesn't do that- I have to manually open it. The Hotronix tech guy said the things that do the auto-opening need replaced. I forget what they are called(gas cylinders? He said it was not an ... moreexpensive fix. I didn't bother doing that as I don't find it a big deal to open the press myself. Barely used - Stahls MAXX Heat Press 11x15
This Heat Maxx is in almost new condition. It was very lightly used(if at all) in an educational setting. Not used for production. As a result, it looks fantastic and as you can see from the picture, the platen is in almost mint condition. I did not notice any scratches in the paint. The digital display appears to be crooked in the picture, but this is just due to the camera angle. In real life it is perfectly straight as it was when originally purchased. This sells for $625 most places, but my reserve is much lower than that.

11"x15" Stahls Maxx Press Heat Press - With 1-5yd Roll Of Heat Press Vinyl
11"x15" Stahl's Maxx Press. Can be used for heat transfers. Dye sublimation, and much more! The press is in great condition! The only thing on it that's not working like new are the hydraulics that push the press up. These can be replaced for cheap(about $15 to $20 a piece, I believe) but aren't really a necessary replacement. I've used it for about 2 years since the hydraulics originally started going down hill and it doesn't affect the pressing at all. You just have to push the handle all the way up once the timer goes off. Comes with the 11x15" Maxx Press. Original power cord, and 1 20"x5yd roll of Stahl's Premium Plus Heat Press material in Maroon(about a $35 value)
