This press is rated 1200 watts, and has a thermostat to adjust platen temperature. The platen measures 15.5 X 18.5" Both the pad and the platen/heating element are in good condition. I used this outfit recently and got great results. I do have a paper cutter(not offered in this deal) but that is all the additional gear you might need for clean, reliable mounting of photos. Platen size is 19"x23" So it will mount a 16x20 print in one go and bigger prints in sections. The press is in excellent condition, with flawless, smooth platen and compressed felt base. Seal 210 M Commercial Dry Mounting Press 23" x 18.5" Tested Accurate. Good shape. A bit dusty. I tested the unit and with the dial set to 250 degrees. The thermometer indicates 250 and my digital meter measured it at ~245 degrees. The upper platen looks about like you would expect from a used mounting press. It can be cleaned. The lower platen has the the wooden insert only. If you were to use this for photographs you'd want to add a padded board. Your application may vary. Photos are of the actual item. Seal 26x32 Dry Mount Press & mounting tissue
This 26"x32" Seal Dry Mount Press(I think it's a Masterpiece 350 model. But the label is missing) includes(see pictures) the press, an EXTRA internal rubber mat, and a supply of dry mount tissue. I have used this press for upwards of 25 years and it works fine. At one time I added the additional bracing(brown in the photos) to even-out the pressure application. The switch that activates a visual timer(the left-hand, red, light blinks) when the lid is closed is broken, so the timer doesn't work. Using the press, I never missed the timer. The rubber mat in the press is slightly better than the extra one I am including(I kept it as a spare) I am including approximately 550 sheets of 8.5"x11" Seal MT5 dry mount tissue, approximately 125 sheets of 8"x10" Seal/Bienfang Colormout dry mount tissue, approximately ... more75 sheets of 11"x14" Seal/Bienfang Colormout dry mount tissue, and 71% of a 150'x20.5" roll(not in photos) of Seal/Bienfang Colormout dry mount tissue. This is the industry standard Seal Jumbo 150 dry mount press. Its the standard for dry mounting artwork and photos. And for T shirt transfers. This one is an oldie but goodie. The platen is very clean; it shines like a mirror. See the picture with the reflected National Geographics. The green felt covered foam rubber pad is in good shape. In this simple machine. The thing that wears out is the thermostat and controls. The old primitive thermostat has been replaced by an electronic temperature control. That makes the temperature accurate and reliable. And avoids wide swings of temperature. I have been using it with dry mount tissue that requires 170 F. And when I measure it, it is right on. The"user interface" is the same as before. This is a Seal Inc. COMpress Dry laminating press. 12 inch x 15 inch pad. It's in good condition and is fully functional. Power lite works as does flash timer. Rheostat and aux power outlet. I tested temp output with an infra-red thermometer and it matches the rheostat control closely. Cord is good showing no strain relief issues or cracking. The rubber pad is pliable and has no excessive drying. Metal parts show some oxidation as shown in pics. The felt shows some typical stains/wear from use but is intact and contacts the silicon pad well. Wish I had a use for it in my shop but short of making real flat burgers, I don't. Ships based on 50lbs UPS ground.
