WVO Biodiesel 55 GHP Complete Centrifuge Used In Nice Condition Relatively Clean
I bought this off eBay from PA Biodiesel Supply a few months ago for 150$. This has been used on my filtering system for wvo that I was running in my car. It works great. Just run the oil from one 55 gallon drum to the other to make it clean and get out water ect in just one hour. I tried my best to clean it but if you have ever dealt with this stuff it is messy and is hard to clean. Specs- The flow rate capacity of the wvo centrifuge is.93 GPM or 55 gallons per hour. The centrifuge measures 4" in diameter by 6.5" tall. Rotor is capable of holding 10.5 oz. of contaminants. One 55 gallon drum of WVO will take approximately 60 minutes to process. The viscosity is the critical part of this equation. Centrifuge generates at 85 PSI a centrifugal force 2,000 times greater than gravity at 7500 RPM. I am selling one of my WMO WVO centrifuges. It is based on a pressure cooker design. I am using a raw power centrifuge bowl( coupled to a 3450 rpm motor which is driven by a Fincor VFD(variable frequency drive) to spin the centrifuge at 6000 rpm. I built two of these and one was for a friend who changed his mind. I have some photos attached of the build of the unit for sale as well as some youtube videos of mine in action. These work very well at cleaning oil. All the parts are used so it is sold as is but guaranteed not DOA. The motor/vfd will require 220 volt single phase ac in order to operate. This is common in most garages or dryer hookups. It will come with the motor. I added a Control Techniques Comander SE.37KW variable frequency drive to control the speed, and a Cutler Hammer E45 48 temperature controller with thermocouple. No heater is included. The unit will be shipped in two boxes and will be disassembled for safe shipment. New seals, if needed, can be ordered from WVO Designs. They have exceptional customer service. The main shaft seal should probably be replaced since the motor will be removed from the bowl for shipping. I have been very happy with this unit. This is a barely used WVO Designs 6000 RPM Centrifuge. The exact setup that I am selling here. Costs $1597 new from WVO Designs. Their Ebay item number is: 281206643653. I bought this centrifuge about a year ago and centrifuged approximately 200 gallons of oil. It works very well: it is very well balanced(no vibrations even at 6000 RPM) and it pulls the finest particles out of the oil. I am selling it because I started looking into all the certifications that would be required to keep large quantities of oil on my property for what I wanted to do. And it was more trouble that I was willing or had time to deal with. As long as you aren't storing large volumes of oils/fuels on your property, you don't need any special certifications. This model has the extra triangle shaped metal piece that bolts into the middle of the centrifuge wheel ... moreto speed up and economize the oil cleaning process. That wheel has 3 bolts that hold it in, and one of the bolts goes in a little loosely. It might be a good idea to tap a hole for the next size bolt and replace the bolt. The Green Spin Centrifuge was designed specifically for cleaning particulate from waste oils and fluids. This design does not include a cut-off valve. Which after multiple uses becomes inoperable and will cause the centrifuge to work at a diminished capacity or not at all. The centrifuge works by means of centrifugal force and is capable of cleaning fluids to one tenth of a micron. High pressure oil is pumped to the centrifuge and sprayed from opposing jets to spin the rotor at speeds approaching 8000 rpm to remove particulate from the fluid. This force extracts solid contaminants from the fluid stream and deposits them on the inner wall of the cleanable rotor as a dense. Solid cake. To clean WVO. Settle the dirty oil in a separate container and filter to at least 100 microns to remove the larger particles out of the oil. The fluid should flow like water for the centrifuge to work properly. Fluids other than WVO may or may not need to be heated to achieve the desired viscosity. The centrifuge will polish the oil to NEVER allow the pressure to exceed 100 psi. Over 100 psi will cause damage and void the warranty. The rotor will need to be cleaned approximately every 150-200 gallons and will take 5-10 minutes to complete the process. The rotor will be extremely hot and will need to cool prior to cleaning. You have the option of purchasing an extra rotor to use while cleaning the dirty rotor. The centrifuge comes with a pump and pressure gauge. The pump is a power steering pump from a honda and works great. Just a regular 120v electric motor to power the pump. Great setup for a 55 gallon drum. Filters great. I used it for filtering waste motor oil but it had been used with waste vegetable oil.

McCann's carbonator used to power WVO centrifuge
This is an AC powered soda carbonator that I used to process my Waste Vegetable Oil(WVO) centrifuge. It worked great for that purpose. I just no longer use WVO as I don't have a diesel vehicle any longer. It has a lot of life left. It has some residual WVO in it but not too much.
