I will rinse these out with water but if you are planning on using for drinking water you will have to clean them with detergent first. This old. Glass, fuel jar was probably used as a reservoir to supply kerosene to a cook stove. Or maybe an antique heat stove. It has a spring loaded valve that still works perfectly- and features a metal band around the middle of the jar that held the iron bail. Or handle. CONDITION is VERY GOOD- no cracks or damage to the glass- just wear from use( circa early 1900s) The bottom exhibits some stretched glass residue. A pontil mark, from when it was originally blown. These are NOT cracks, clearly they stand out in relief, little ridges that can be seen and detected with the fingernail. Large Antique Glass Kerosene Fuel Container Jug With Handle
Up for your consideration is this very large antique glass kerosene stove dispenser container jug. I have seen many of these jugs before but none quite this large. It measures just uner 17" tall and has a diameter of 7 1/2" It is in great shape with no chips. Cracks, or deep scratches. The inside of the glass is foggy, and I made no attempt to try to clean it in fear of damaging the glass somehow. The strap attached to the cap is broken but looks fine for a display. This particular bottle has a bakelite cap and has a makers mark on it. There is clear hits on the bottle and one small shrapnel puncture on the front. This fuel bottle has very clearly been in combat. This is a very rare addition to any Luftwaffe Pilots collection.

This interesting little fuel container is all metal. Fully soldered, with two brass screw-on caps. Inside the threaded fittings that the caps screw onto are small screens. Part of the label on the front of the container is missing. But other than that, it is in excellent condition. EMERGENCY WWII FUEL CONTAINER- According to research on the internet this may have been a part of the pilot's survival kit. The color suggests it to have been used in the army. Most of the containers I’ve read about contained benzene. The measurements are 12 ¾ inches long. 8 inches wide and 3 ½ inches thick. The metal carry handle is fully intact and in great shape. The screw cap is also metal. The container weighs 5 pounds 4 oz. on my postage scale. There appears to have been hits of either bullets or shrapnel on the container and they have been patched or welded( please see pictures) This emergency fuel container may have been in combat from all appearances. Rare Copper Fuel Can Jerry Gas Can Container 19"+
Very rare copper jerry can/ fuel container. This can seems to be extremely rare. Due to not being able to find another like it. I have not found one in copper and have asked many about this container and they have never seen a copper one. This can came from an old estate in south texas. This can measures approximately 16 7/8" tall not including spout, with spot: 19 3/8" tall x 14 1/4" wide x 6 3/4" deep, the piece on the side is not included in width, it measures approximately 1 5/8" out from side. The container is copper inside and out and the base is a black painted metal, the bottom does have some rust, see photos, Although it is a solid container. This is also a very heavy piece. Here for auction is what I believe to be a vintage Sigg fuel or water container. Stands 9.5” tall and is 3 1/8” across the bottom. It has a fluted design that runs top to bottom. The top cap screws on and has a hook. It is marked Sigg. At the base is marked Swiss Made and on the other side: 100 years. Sigg. It appears to be in very good condition as there are no dings or dents in it other than possibly extremely tiny ones that won’t show in images. It is a beautiful canister if there ever was one. No idea as to the age especially as it says 100 years so may be a commemorative one. It looks like part of a set, maybe shaped to fit into, or within, something. It is fine as a stand alone piece and may work well with a stove or lantern of similar vintage or appearance. Antique 1881 Daisy Railroad / Kitchen Fuel Oil Kerosene Container Tin / Glass
Complete. Antique, Daisy railroad or household kerosene container, made of glass and tin, with a patent date of April 26, 1881. I'm almost positive that it has been repainted somewhere along the line, but it's definitely been quite a while. There are some tiny white specks of paint also, as seen in the photo's. It measures 10 1/2" from the bottom to the top of the screw cap, and is 6 1/4" in diameter. This is from an estate, and had originally been from the Lebanon, Pennsylvania area.
