This heavy. Solid brass, industrial lamp was originally a water meter used in New York around 1903-1910. An electrician has made this into a simple lamp(using new wiring) and it works great. There is no damage. This is a fantastic industrial piece. The water meter itself is 8.5 inches tall and 8 inches wide at the base. With a bulb in it. It reaches 16 inches high. Although it is heavy. It fits nicely into a flat rate shipping box so the shipping cost will only be $17.

Nice old brass or bronze Trident 5/8 split-case water meter by Neptune Meter Co. Measures about 6-1/4" tall x about 5" diameter at the base. 7-1/2" from end of the threaded inlet to end of the threaded outlet. The lid measures about 3" in diameter& the glass underneath that covers the face, about 2-3/8" in diameter. The unit weighs about 10-1/2 pounds. This is a used unit& it has not been tested by us, but it looks to be in really good condition& it has a nice patina. The top of the lid is marked. Neptune Meter Co" Trident" New York" with a trident in between the word"New" the word"York" It's also marked with serial number"19288770" The base of the case is marked, 5/8 Split Case" IN" on the threaded inlet& OUT" on the outlet. It's ... morealso marked with identical serial number"19288770" The hinged lid covers a dial under glass, or it might be plastic, I can't say for sure. The glass/plastic has some surface scratches.
