This Niagara water meter was made by Buffalo Meter Co. and has a patent date of September 19th. 1921 on the bottom. The meter inside is in great shape, and the glass face is not broken at all. There's very little wear, save for aging, to this piece. It has not been tested, though, and is being sold as is/ for parts because of that. It measures 12" x 6" x 7 1/2"

Across the top cap when it is closed measures 3" in width. When the cap is open the glass inside measures 2 1/4" in width across. Piece weighs 10 lbs 9 ozs. Measurements are approximate. It is in beautiful well cared for condition. There are no dents or hair line cracks in the copper casing. There are nicks from use. Vintage Trident Neptune brass water meter with iron clamp on base Steampunk
Nice condition brass water meter from Neptune Meter Co. NY. The clamp on base is rusted but is removable(as shown in the last pic) if painting is desired. The gasket was dry rotted that went between the iron base and the bottom of the brass meter. Glass is unbroken. Some discoloration to the brass but good overall condition. I wiped this with Windex but a more thorough cleaning may be desired if used for display. Weighs just over 11 pounds.
