Up for auction is an"Amazing. Unique& A Great Find! Antique Laboratory Water/Gas Meter, by American Meter Company. This authentic, antique meter has all original paint with some light scratches, a few paint chips, mainly on the back outer perimeter. The glass sight is chipped on the bottom stem; the top stem has a piece broken off, as well. One brass, threaded cap is missing on the left side of the meter. The brass funnel is slightly oblong in shape, vs. being completely round. Therefore, making the brass funnel a bit tweaked& out of shape. Not sure if it is in working condition or not. I have no way of testing this meter, so it is being sold as is. However, it is a fabulous looking piece, with lots of character and we have never seen one in all our years as antiquer's! Just finished restoring a rare item- an ECO Islander Air Stand. Model 242, has a globe and both air and water retractable lines. Here’s the details: All metal sand blasted down to bare metal and epoxy etched primed. Multiple coats of filling primer applied and sanded to achieve a nice flat finish. Castings smoothed out too. Automotive grade color coat/ clear coat paint applied– red and black. The clear coat is wet polished up to 4000 grit and buffed to a high shine. We spent a crazy amount of time polishing this stand. The pin striping is actual paint. Buried in clear too. A custom steel platform was welded/ painted to give the air stand additional stability. No need to bolt this air stand down. The platform does have leveling bolts. It’s optional. You don’t have to use it, but we think it looks good with it. The stand can be used with both ... morewater and compressed air if you want to. New lines installed. The internals were rebuilt. Tested with compressed air to check for leaks, and it works great. There are hook-ups at the bottom. So we assume it works. It is very heavy and solid brass. The gauge part is rigid plastic housing with glass cover protected by a flip top. It reads 1478.63 cubic feet. Glass and meter gauge is perfectly clear and no sign of moisture inside. Still has original hang tag on it too. Up for auction is a Vintage Neptune Trident Red Brass Water Meter Steampunk New York. It is 9" tall. 7.5" wide(including the spouts) and 5.5" wide without the spouts. It is stamped 5/8 TRIDENT on the side and the lid is stamped NEPTUNE METER Co. TRIDENT 834027 WATER METER NEW YORK. Both the side and the lid have a TRIDENT stamped on them. The face of the meter is black and has a red dial with a Trident next to it. It is in good condition and still has the bottom section attached. It does show its age and has patina all over.
