This is a vintage set of Texaco service station or gas station letters for a sign. They are in their original box and still have the protective covering on the front of them. The box was sealed until we opened it to take pictures. The protective covering will require some work to get it off of the letters. The letters measures 12-1/2" tall and between 7" 8" wide with a depth of 1/2" Each has brackets on the back for hanging. They are pre-1963 as there is no zip code for the address on the box. These are from the estate of a Texaco station owner. The original box has wear- part of the top is detached. This is the second and last box of these letters that we have. This listing is for a toy Shell Gas stand with 2 pumps and a tire display plus a red plastic car. The nozzles are missing from the gas hoses. The base is about 5 3/8 inches long. About 1 3/8 inches wide and about 3 inches tall. The car is about 3 inches long and about 1 inch tall. There is a hole in the right side of the car, I think the gas nozzle was supposed to fit into the hole. The car has scratches and scuffs and is dusty from use. The stand has MADE IN HONG KONG in raised letters on the bottom of the stand and in black letters on the gas pumps. Payment is expected within 7 days of close of auction and can be made by Paypal. I also read somewhere. And have some doubt, they may have been connected to the Sinclair exhibit at the New York World's Fair.
