Unique Antique Gone With The Wind Parlor Lamp Converted From Oil To Electric
Gorgeous gwtw lamp! This lamp has an asymmetrical look with its quilted top and painted base. Yet the colors from the base are mimicked on the top globe creating such an interesting piece! The lamp stands 22 inches tall and the shades are about 9 inches in diameter. This is a converted oil to electric lamp and is quite old however the exact age is unknown. The uniqueness of this lamp is evident in it's shades. The bottom shade has lovely tulips on both the front and back posted against a two tones green background. The condition of the lamp is wonderful. There are a few age marks on the paint and the top shade has a few chips on the very top. They are very slight and hardly noticeable even up close. It has a 2 piece back, no cracks repaired or otherwise and no real issues. This makes it a real bargain for the player who wants the big open tone of a French violin. I put on a set of new Dominant strings for the new owner. It plays and looks great(see pics) there are no open seams, the neck angle is fine, I am including a non original violin case. Good antique twin burner Victorian oil lamp with floral ceramic font and brass base. Super looking lamp. Measures 22 inches high including the chimney. 13 inches without chimney, base measures 7 inches across. Condition for age is very good. The base has some tiny splits in the base but does not effect the use, the brass work needs a clean. Whale Oil Wine-Glass Lamp. Clear glass with a threaded pewter collar. This lovely free blown lamp is heavy with an applied blown stem and circular base. The bottom has an open pontil mark. Condition is very good with normal wear on the bottom of the base and some age patina to the collar. Tiny air bubbles throughout. Size 5-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches.
