This solid cast brass English Lamp stand was made in Victorian times to hold an Oil Lamp and for that reason was weighted with cast iron that fits in side base. That was to prevent easy turn over and to prevent fires. For this reason the stand weights 22 pounds. This Corinthian Column style was very popular around 1900, which this lamp stand dates. It measures 44" to top of corinthian column and will extend another 24" to base of bulb socket. Lamp has been rewired, has three way socket, and works fine. I had this lamp stand polished and lacquered 21 years ago- photo#7 shows some tarnish which should be repolished. Photo#8 shows similar floor lamp which we use in our home. This is a very pretty hand painted Gone with the Wind style kerosene oil lamp on an ornate cast metal base. The lamp is pink with red and white chrysanthemums in a green background. It has a milk glass shade over a clear 8 1/2 inch tall chimney. The wick adjustment is stamped"Eagle Made in the USA" I believe the burner was refurbished. It measures 22 inches tall and the lamp at the widest point measures about 6 inches wide. The milk glass shade measures 10 inches wide across the bottom. The cast base is about 6 3/4 inches wide. The lamp is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. I don't know about the working condition. As I have no oil to try it. Thank you for viewing. NICE LITTLE EARLY AMERICAN 19TH CENTURY CLAM BROTH FAIRY OIL LAMP
For your consideration an adorable little Clam Broth Fairy Lamp. This came from my brother's personal collection. He was a well known glass dealer and collected for many years. I am really not that knowledgeably on glass as it's not my forte. But this is a fine piece and well over a hundred years old. As always I will take lots of photos and leave it up to the experts to decide! The lamp stands 6 inches tall without the shade and the shade is 2 and 6/16th's inches tall. The lamp is about 4 inches wide and the shade is 4 and 1/4 inches wide. The lamp is in great condition for it's age. Unfortunately. The metal piece that holds the shade on is broken. The lamp it's self is just lovely! Free of any cracks or chips. There is a tiny flake to one side and there is general roughness to the top and bottom of the shade. This is a very nice antique"GLOW NIGHT LAMP" with a pat. date of May 5. 1908 on the base. It has its original globe and burner assembly. This lamp is very hard to find with its original globe and burner assembly. It is in excellent cond. w/ no damage to the glass pieces. One prong which holds the glass wick holder has snapped off. Even with the prong broken the glass wick holder still fits nice and tight(see photos) I believe it could be repaired. I have stored the broken piece in the bottom of the lamp so it wouldn't get lost. The lamp is 6" high with the globe in place. Vintage 4 oil lamp brackets wall mounted cast iron for parts or projects.
Vintage lot of 4 cast iron oil lamp wall mounted brackets. Good for parts or other projects. They are in fair condition. But the posts on the back that fit into the wall mounts are broken off each one. Have the original paint and do have some rust, I did not repaint them so it would not take away from the original look. They are each 9" tall, come out from the wall 10" and the bowls are 5" across the top, 3" across the bottom and 2" deep. I do not have the wall mounts for these. Antique Oil Desk Lamp Part "GERMAN STUDENT LAMP CO."
Antique Student Lamp part. Knob says GERMAN STUDENT LAMP CO. It is also marked BERLIN on the burner arm. The top of the reservoir is dented. The piece has a LOT of pitting. Wear and chrome loss. The center rod is iron; the rest appears to be brass. If you polish it, you will expose these base metals(which might actually look pretty nice) I don't know much about these types of lamps, but it appears this one needs a burner, in addition to the base. I just did a quick ebay search for this brand, and found that a couple of burners sold recently, so perhaps you can score one. Center rod is a little over 19" Reservoir is approx. 7.75" tall.
