This is a Shell Oil Company logo that was in use from 1928-1946 and I would date this block to the middle of that period. Very nice detail and a good size featuring the universally recognized seashell logo. This block measures 1 1/8 inches wide by1 1/8 inches tall. The raised metal surface is mounted type high(918 inches) on a hardwood block. to see the other letterpress print blocks I have for sale this week. Print Blocks. I did not want to use anything that might scratch the glass. The stains are not very dark. I think they might be water deposits. The last tab has just one bulletin Vol. 4 No. 4 dated 1953. There are 19 pages behind the first tab; 42 behind the second tab; 40 behind the third. Most pages are printed front& back. This has great graphics. This is in very good condition. The first binder tab page has a stain on it but the rest of the pages are in excellent condition. The binder edges do show some wear but nothing bad.
