Lot of 4 Old Center Draft Burner Parts for Oil Kerosene Lamp
This auction is for a lot of old parts that you may be able to use for your oil lamp projects. The piece with the key moves two little"arms" up and down. And the turner knob works as well. There are no markings on this piece that I can see. The large center draft piece is 3 1/2" tall, has an old wick and knob that moves it, and no markings that I can see. It measures 1 1/4" on the bottom where the wick comes out. The smaller one of the two also has a wick, with a turner knob that reads, Kosmos Brenner, with a threaded bottom that measures 1" The other small piece. Without a wick, has a dissertation written on it. The turner knob says, The Brilliant, and on the rim of the screened part it is stamped, Holmes Boothe& Haydens Patent August 14, 1870, CA Kleemann's Patent March 10, 1863, Reisd, March 29, 1870. Great looking vintage fixture. Brass with brass shade and original globe. Includes ceiling cover. No ball nuts but I may have some to include. Lamp is in great shape with little wear. Couple light scuffs but no dents or dings. There is a little crease around the top rim of the shade but it doesn't show when hung. Everything is solid. Clean and original. About 17" across. VICTORIAN / EAPG OIL / KEROSENE LAMP - FINGER LAMP MINT - SUNBURST BLOCK PATTERN
An original antique kerosene lamp plus the fact that it is an established early American Pattern Glass lamp which I recall from an old Spinning Wheels antique article as being the SUNBURST BLOCK PATTERN. There are multitudes of kerosene lamps on Ebay but how often are they original and complete and really from the turn of the 19 th century. Rest assured that this lamp is not of recent vintage. I know that many of you younger Ebayers will not be familiar with Spinning Wheel’s which was an antique magazine which has probably been out of business 20 plus years ago. But that’s how long we have had this lamp. Any Ebayer who truly knows if I have recalled the correct pattern name, please send me a question and I will post it for all to see. Those of you who collect and use these lamps know how hard it is to find these unusual lamps with a cut glass ... morelook, which is why we have kept this one so long. The lamp measures approximately 8 inches to the top of the burner. The base is approximately 4 ½ inches and with the chimney; the lamp is 14 ½ inches tall so it is a nice size kerosene lamp. Condition is as follows: Excellent condition for its age. No chips, dings, cracks, or hairlines to the glass. The pattern is even and really is beautiful. The base is pressed glass which in room lighting reflects like cut glass. I will let you judge from the photographs for yourself. The burner is signed P& A Eagle and is original to the lamp. The wick is good so you may use the lamp immediately. My reserve on this item is my opening bid. If you are looking for an unusual old kerosene lamp for a great price. This is a great Aladdin kerosene or oil lamp that was made between 1980& 1990. The pattern is the 4 flower'Daisy and Wheat' pattern on an American Classic shelf lamp. It needs a lox-on chimney and a lox-on mantle plus some kerosene and it is a great working lamp. The condition is very good to excellent with no damage anywhere. It has a number 23 burner with a gallery and a flame spreader. I have one lox-on mantle and two lox-on chimneys in my store if you want to combine items. Antique Victorian Pair Banquet English European Kerosene Oil Lamps 1880s-90s
Exquisite Pair of European Bohemian Oil Lamps c. 1880s-90s Cranberry and white spatter glass is crafted to create a visually arresting decorative pair of lamps. This technique was used by many American and European glass makers of the 1880s-90s. And should not be confused with end-of-day pieces. It is difficult to show the beauty and quality of this pair of lamps in pictures. They are a finely matched pair with enameled floral patterns painted in exact opposite directions to display together on mantel or buffet. Each lamp consists of two parts: the lower mold-blown vase and the upper free blown font. The font fits snuggly into the vase as shown in the pictures. Around the vase shoulder is an applied circle of pulled glass leaves or swags. Collar is Period No 3 with screw-in burners. The two tulip-shaped old glass shades also come with this ... morelamp pair& two shade holders. These lamps are as found in Minnesota, and all parts are in excellent condition. Dimensions: lamp to top of burner 16 3/4" to top of shade 21 1/4" The burners are well marked& thumbwheels work freely. 1. One burner is marked: W. W. KOSMOS[Wild& Wessel of Berlin in 1865 developed the"Kosmos" burner. Where a flat-wick fits into the bottom of the burner& the shape comes out round at the top edge. Engraved on top of burner[where round wick comes through] in two ovals is: PATENT BREVETE S. C. O. G. 2. Second burner is marked: KOSMOS BRENNER with no marks on wick part. Have seen two other examples of this lamp; one a smaller version. Neither had burners or any identifying marks. Have had these to museum curators at Corning. Boston& Sandwich, London, Harrach, sent pictures to Paris; no one could identify the glass maker; but several said definitely not made in America. Vintage Blue Willow Miniature Oil Kerosene Lamp Wales Made in Japan
Up for sale: Vintage Blue Willow miniature oil lamp with frosted glass globe. The base measures approx. 3-3/4" without the metal top and approx. 5" with the top in place. The whole lamp measures approx. 8-3/8" when complete. There is a paper label on the bottom. It is marked Wales with a crown and Made in Japan. Condition: Pre-owned. Does not appear to be chipped or cracked. Someone painted the upper part of the base gold(poor job) I would think it could be removed if you were inclined to do so. The metal top has a split in the metal where it screws in to the base. It does not appear to interfere with the effectiveness of the top at this time. The globe does not appear to be chipped or cracked. There is a scratch in the top section. But I believe it is an imperfection in the glass. Please e-mail me with any questions.
