It pumps up and holds pressure as it should.It has a mantle but they become fragile once lit so I don't expect it to survive the courier! it does have two spare unused mantles inlcuded however. The lamp provides a surprisingly bright light perfect for camping. Fishing etc A good thing about Tilley lamps compared to others is they have a built in"pricker" which clears the vapouriser keeping ... morethe lamp burning well. These lanterns have a solid brass tank.You can remove the paint quite easily with paint stripper and then polish them-they look fantastic when taken back to brass,but they do require the odd coat of wax and a polish quite regularly to keep them at their best. Please remember this isn't a new lamp.It has the odd bit of paint missing in places,however the tank is free from dings or dents and the hood/hat/cage is in very nice order. This is an antique. Victorian, red,art glass lamp produced by Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company. The lamp is a reconverted kerosene/ oil lamp that has been electrified. The lamp's pattern is Imperial and also can be called Diamondrape or Victoria.The red(cerise) satin finished lamp was produced in the 1890's through the early 1900's.The lamp is about 15" tall(glass and base) with a footedbase that is brass plated with the splter(zinc) finish. The base is a 7" square. If you want the shade I have used with the lamp, I would send that also but in another box. This lamp belonged to my mother's best friends's mother. My mother and her friend would be close to 100 if they were alive today. I was given this lamp about 40 years ago. Antique late 1800's Gone with the Wind Ruby Red Parlor Table Oil/Kerosene Lamp
I bought this lamp from an estate dealer. It came from an estate of a home in upstate New York. It is from the late 1800's- well over 100 years old. It is in very good condition. I have used it a bit and as you can see it lights up very well. I turned down the lights and lit the oil lamp so you can see how much light it throw out in the last three pictures. In the last three pictures I turned the lights out and it really illuminates well. The lamp to the top of it's chimney is 19" and about 6 1/2" at the widest part of the red globe. great lamp!

OLD GLASS KEROSENE STOVE FILLER PERFECTION STOVE COMPANY PATENT 1923 USA
For Buy it now is a glass kerosene stove filler. Made by the Perfection Stove Company in Cleveland, Ohio. This old time stove filler has several patent dates on it, with the last date of May 29, 1923. The stove filler measures in inches 10 high to top of cap, 8 across to handle ends, and 7 1/2 across, and it weighs about 3lbs 13oz. When I found it it was about half full with old looking kerosene, which I removed. I then gave the stove filler a good cleaning, though it could still be cleaned a bit more. The glass jug is in very good shape with no chips or cracks, just some normal scratches on the bottom, and a couple scratches on one side which doesn't look bad at all. The iron band and handle show rust patina, but they seem sturdy. The spring cap shows it's age, with the top of the cap having a couple bent off edges on it's rim, ... morebut it still works and it screws on easily. Original IHC Farmall H Tractor Kerosene Carburetor Hit Miss Engine Steam Oiler
This is a rather hard to find original kerosene carburetor for an early International Harvester Farmall H tractor or power unit. It seems to be in excellent used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for a broken screw that holds the choke plate on the shaft. Both shafts turn nicely with very little wear. It mounts to the manifold with two 5/16 inch holes 2 3/8 inches apart on center. It has a 1 1/2 inch intake and a 1 3/16 inch opening where it mounts to the manifold. It is fresh from the estate of an early tractor collector where it lived on his parts shelf for many years. It was very likely removed from a tractor and replaced with a gasoline carburetor. I think with just a little cleaning and going over it would be a usable carburetor. Measures 14 1/8" X 9 1/2" X 7/8" thick. Weighs 2 pounds, 4 ounces. Two pieces of wood assembled together to make one case end. Reads: Light of the Age Reg. U.S. Pat Off. American Kerosene Water White 150 Degrees Manufactured by The Texas Company Port Arthur. Texas U.S.A. In the center the company logo red star and green letter T. Good condition. Particularly for the age of the item. Red color star is lightly faded on the star points. The green letter T is nicely preserved. Some light age staining top and bottom. For reference and illustrated examples see the book Texaco's Port Arthur Works by Gish. Pages 84, 104 and 132. Page ... more84 shows the wooden Light of the Age Kerosene box and the date 1919. Page 132 states: All of the photographs on this page were taken in 1919 on 8X10 glass negatives. Shows the wooden Light of Age Kerosene box. The author of the above referenced book writes on page 104: Wooden cases were produced from wooden shooks milled at the Company's Morgan City Shook mill and on the Island. Wood offered protection for the metal cans and could be eaisly imprinted with the Company's logo and package description. Rising labor costs and increased competion in the late 1930's forced the Company to use cheaper packaging such as thin wooden strips bound with wire and finally cardboard boxes. Most of the wooden cases were reused by customers for other purposes or burned for fuel in Asian countries Very few have survived in good condition. From pages 86- 92: A" shook" is two sides. ANTIQUE MINIATURE BLUE OPALESCENT SWIRL w/ ENAMEL DESIGNS OIL or KEROSENE LAMP
This is a nice example of a British made blue opalescent swirl oil or kerosene miniature lamp. Very nice fired on enamel painted flower designs and painted lines for trim and contrast. The lamp is a little under 6 inches from the top of the collar to the bottom of the base. Condition is perfect with no paint loss. No cracks, no chips and no repairs. Just a couple of air bubbles in the base, and several noted on the sides. Please note that the white spots are light reflection and not finish issues. This is a high quality oil lamp and will fit in nicely in an advanced collection. It will take a number O or nutmeg burner(7/8 inch collar opening) which is not included but readily available.
