19" tall clear EAPG oil lamp of unknown pattern& manufacturer. Beautiful condition base and chimney with only a tiny light scratch on the base. The pattern on the very thick heavy base has teardrops with a beaded border and in the middle of that is a thumbprint design with a beaded edge and textured in the middle. The metalworks are very good with a wick and operating wick knob but the prongs that hold the chimney show some light corrosion. The chimney appears perfect.

This is a 1920's kerosene railroad red signal lantern or lamp. It was used on the Union Pacific Railroad. I purchased this from an older gentleman who told me this was his father's who worked for the Union Pacific for over 30 years. His mother was still living at 100 years old to give you a frame of reference for age. It is stamped UP on the top of the lantern. It was made by The Adams& Westlake Co. The red glass lens is in very nice condition. This has been used for years and has a very neat look.

Large Antique German Oil Kerosene Lamp - VERITAS - Central Draft - Quality Made
This is a large( 30' Central draft burning oil/kerosene lamp manufactured by VERITAS, the German oil lamp company known for it's high quality workmanship and durability. The lamp has four shallow dents. Of which two can be seen very clearly in the first photo. The other two, even smaller, are found at the very bottom of the font, almost near the bottom of the lamp. There is a wick installed. Though when the wick winder knob tries to move the wick higher it stops at about the height you can see in the last photo with the lamp lighted. It should raise much higher. The knob lowers the wick just fine. We think there needs to be either more fuel in the font for better lubrication( we used just a bit for the photo) Or the wick might be a bit too large for the draft tube. As well, the wick may just need to be readjusted. It will need some ... morelooking over to get the wick to move higher. And to get the best performance from the lamp as far as heat and light. By looking through the fuel opening. We could see that the wick hits the bottom of the font and splays out a good bit, covering the bottom of the font. The wick looks to be in very good condition. We can't detect any dirt or odor coming from the inside. The lamp is very well made and the brass has thicker walls than are usually seen in oil lamps. The burner is beautifully constructed and in excellent condition. The lamp comes with a reproduction chimney( the original chimneys of this size are almost impossible to find) made from smooth borosilicate glass. Superbly made with thick walls. It is made to withstand the heat produced by the larger wicks in these larger lamps without breaking. The bottom fitter measures 3 1/8" wide. The top shows a diamond shaped emblem with embossed design. It has no dents. Cracks or other damage. Please refer to the photos for shape, and note the fluted brass lower part. This Cosmos Oil Lamp will give any space a warm and glow and is perfect for high or comforting light levels. This Cosmos Oil Lamp is easy to operate. For sale is a very unusual& attractive antique kerosene lamp. It is in the form of a chamber stick for a candle but it is a fuel lamp. The candle part is made of porcelain and is marked with a circle in a circle and a six pointed star. The top writing says K.K. a. priv. The name under the star says E. BIANCHI. The lower writing says FABRIKS-MARKE. The brass wick adjuster says PATENT- WIEN with star in center. The tin bottom says in a circle FINZI& BIANCHI FIRENZE MILANO with ROMA in the middle. It measures about 6 and 3/4 inches tall and the base diameter is about 5 and 1/2 inches. It has condition issues which do not detract from its looks on a table or shelf. Etc. The porcelain has a slight hairline, the tin bottom has rusted through, the brass finger handle has soldered reinforcement. Swamped with business, is said to have offered group rates for funerals if all killings were done on Saturdays. A small plaque downtown, marks the site of the old"sporting district" or red-light area called Popcorn Alley. Home to gambling halls, brothels and brass-railed saloons, it apparently acquired its name from the"popping" noise made by constant opening and closing of doors during all hours of the night. Today only two saloons, the Senate(where slugger Jack Dempsey once worked as a dishwasher) and the Silverbell, plus a row of three Victorian houses on Pacific Street called the Cribs(once used by prostitutes) still stand. The Telluride Housing Authority renovated the buildings in 1983. The Senate, Silver Bell, Cribs make up the restored buildings of the"sporting district" The Senate was one of the many"female boarding houses" that was bustling with business between the 1880's and 1930's. 28 women"worked" the upstairs rooms of the Silver Bell, fetching $4 per client. IT IS PAINTED WITH PALE TO DARKER GREENS. THE FLOWERS ARE PINKS AND REDS. THERE ARE AREAS WHERE THE PAINT HAS EITHER WORN OR WAS NEVER COMPLETELY COVERED" MOST OF THESE ARE ON THE GREENS.
