Risdon mfg. from danbury Ct. produced these from the early 50's, when they took over the Plume& Atwood mfg. that formed in 1869 in Danbury, and continued to produce them into the early 1960's until Landers, Frary& CO. took over Risdon, excellent condition has worked for us for 30yrs, did put new wick in the lamp, no chips, scratches, pretty much flawless, please ask any questions, thanks for looking.

This lamp looks like it came right off of a Victorian ladies vanity. This pretty lamp starts with an iron step base to the beaded brass connector piece and up to the frosted. And hand painted from the inside(and getting blotchy with age) green oval stem, wide in front and narrow sides, displaying yellow and pink wildflowers. Another decorative brass connector with a couple of splits in it(see pics) takes you to the pattern glass font that I would call"Stars in Circles" but I know nothing of pattern glass so any help with this? Next comes the very detailed brass collar with a single small ding in it(see pics) that the#2 Plume& Attwood Hinged Burner rests upon. I can tell the font is a Miller by the collars and oil fill plug. 9 times out of 10 the oil fill plug on these will be damaged or replaced. This one. Along with both collars, are original to the lamp and unharmed. The font was used as a drop-in for their hanging bracket lamps, but could most certainly be used(and likely was) as a shelf or table lamp. Fitted with a WBG Eldorado burner which is likely original to the lamp. The chimney is an early molded chimney with a manufacturing flaw seen below. A nice lamp with no other chips. This sale is for a Vintage KAADAN Ltd. Heavy Oil or Kerosene Glass Lamp. The lamp was my grandfathers. I am guessing it is at least 85 years old– he died at age 90 in 1969 so it may be older. The lamp is part of the items we are selling as we downsize. The clear glass lamp has some bubbles in the base of the ribbed glass and some wavy lines in the glass. I put fabric in the base to try to make these more visible. Except for surface scratched on the base. I saw no flaws on the base. There is a line around the inside of the oil bowl that looks like it was the mark from the oil or kerosene. I do not know if this will or will not come out. Vintage Antique Railroad/Mining Kerosene/Oil Kettle Style Torch Lantern
This Antique Kettle Style Kerosene/Oil Torch Lantern was purchased at an auction in Pennsylvania. The style of this lamp was often used by both railroad and mining companies. But with no company markings stamped into the metal there is no exact determination of its usage. Based on when the original owner purchased it the auctioneer believed it to be early circa 1900’s. This approximately 6 ½” tall(to spout tip) lantern has an original wick and the cap screws off easily. Some of its original paint is worn off and there are some dings. At some point it appears that someone wanted to continue to use the lantern and made what appears to be aged solder marks on the spout brace. The type of metal used for the repair is not known, but has an unusual gold tone in color. All have Acorn burners. All have wicks. The burners are working well, the wick rolls up and down well on all of these. The glass chimneys are in nice shape. But have some roughness, little chips around the bottom where they fit into the burner, but still fit well. These are real nice little lamps! Antique Kerosene Angle Lamp Sconce Fixture Still In Oil Untouched
Here we have an untouched antique kerosene angle lamp wall sconce. This single sconce hasn't been touched yet for the kerosene enthusiast. Wick adjuster is signed"ANGLE MFG CO N.Y. It looks like the chimney fitter is about 3 1/4" wide and still has the thumb screw here. The oil font still has the small push valve on the bottom of it. Finish is a bit rough. I haven't tried to clean it up at all. I'll let you do that part to your own discretion. Some rust is coming through on the font top. You can see all this in the pictures. The Alacite is the aged ivory color known for the old formula used in the early manufacturing of these lamps. the Uranium used makes the lamp glow green under the black light. the finish on it is very nice. Antique Miniature Oil Kerosene Lamp Milk Glass Embossed Flowers Hand Painted I believe this is a pre 1930's lamp. 8 1/4" tall. No chips or cracks. Some roughness to chimney around bottom lip. Nothing bad. I have tried to show this in the photos. Acorn burner. Burner has a small crack on base. It is tight and does not affect the burner in any way. Movement of wick knob is working well and pulls wick up and down just fine. Long wick! This is ready to fill and burn! Brass collar is attached with chalk. This is a real nice little lamp!
