Antique Floral Lamp Base Kerosene Oil Lighting. Great old antique milk glass floral globe base holder for kerosene lamp with Morning Glories. Cast iron base and Brass inset. The main color of the globe is White fading to pale Blue at the top. Flowers are deep Purple with green leaves. Two Morning Glories on the front. One on the back with White space in between. No chips, cracks or deep scratches. There is some slight staining to the blue from cleaning over the years. No makers mark found but lamp came with a Meteor font& burner. Cast iron base in very good original condition with no missing pieces, cracks or breaks but there is some rust beginning to show. Marked with 211 on the underside. Brass inset is in good condition and only needs to be cleaned(two pieces. Hi and welcome! This old antique was literally just dug out of a barn. Along with many other primitive and antique finds that my daughters and I will be selling in the next few weeks. This is by Cleveland FDY CO, dates to the 1800s was used for heating sad/flat irons. It stands about 9 and 1/4" tall, by 6 and 1/2" by 5" Has the glass window still intact. It is dirty and will need cleaned, it has not had a single thing done to it in YEARS, but would be a great addition to any antique/ primitive collection.You are buying it as is, uncleaned and in the found condition. Rare Antique Helvig kerosene ship's compass binnacle lantern circa 1880
Plate on back of this brass lantern reads: H.A.J. Helvig& Co. Manufacturers New York" It is 8" H& 3 1/2 W across front. Helvig did a great business. With lanterns, in 1800's but finding a similar lantern is rare. Some years ago, I found one that was referred to as a Whale oil lantern w/handles for carrying, 1845. Value placed on it was 2,500. Then I placed a note inside the lantern w/that info, but today I can't remember if it was just the same, though today I think that year may have been earlier than when my family sailed. I believe that it was used in about mid to late 1800's. I have used as a decoration for at least 50 years. Nothing has been added to it, so I believe it is all original, but not sure if it had been done before I inherited it in 1962. The glass globe is pretty shinny, so maybe not original, ... morealso has an unused wick. I occasionally, through the year, gave it a slight polish to highlight the brass luster, but untouched for past 20 years. The back of the top part(neck) has some brass missing from it's thin collar. Visible on 2nd picture. The top round has some old dings, the name plaque has lifted. Basically, there are some dings and nicks overall, but nothing major for a working tool. In very good condition for age. Except top of lamp had no paint. Painted it to match rest of lamp. Didn't alter the finish on the rest of it. It has a beautiful, aged patina. Made of metal except for base. Has a date of 1887 and Phoenix MFG. Co. on knob. It is 22 1/2 inches tall. 15 1/2 without chimney. The"fish" is the way dolphins were portrayed in the 19th century and earlier. Last two pictures show lamp before painting. Paint was probably worn off by kerosene being wiped off of top from repeated usage. Has neat little cap on a chain that covers small fuel filler tube. Check pictures. Very heavy for it's size. Weighs over 9 pounds. Can't figure out for sure what Boy and Dolphin are made of. Reservoir screws into it with a brass threaded rod. The threaded female part in top of figures is brass. Charming late 19th Century(1875) Victorian Oil Lamp. Electrified. Beautifully moulded font is decorated with 6 raised drops, between each is a delicate raised white enamel painted flower with gold gilt leaves. The base is black enamel glaze over metal on which sits a brass foot leading to a brass reeded column. Gorgeous etched glass shade and a flat sided clear glass chimney. Overall measurements are 26"h to top of chimney, lamp alone is 16"h base is 7.25"dia, shade is 5"h x 8"dia and chimney is 10"h. It is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Vintage red kerosene utility traffic lantern was made by the Embury Mfg. Co. As you can see. The lantern has seen a lot of use. There is paint missing and some dings. The red globe is not marked and has no cracks or chips. The wick screw works. It is approximately 9 1/2 inches tall, plus the handle, and the base has a diameter of 6 3/4 inches. It is marked: Embury Mfg. Co. Warsaw, N.Y. U.S.A. 500, Property of Public Service Co. Colo. It has seen a lot of use by a utility company. The other lamp is missing the top. Where most likely the mfg. name would have been, but on the knob to adjust the wick, I found some writing which I could only read" Never out" They are both brass. The one lamp has 3 jewels. Two red and one green. The other lamp is missing the jewels and the front glass* I do not know if these work and will be sold in as found original condition for decorative pieces or for parts/repair/restoration. Bennett Lubester Kerosene Oil Fuel Gas Station Pump Handle Vintage ?
For auction is a old pump used to pump oil. Kerosene, gasoline, and or other liquids at old gas stations. I can't find any markings but I'm fairly sure it's a old Bennett Lubester. I haven't tried to pump anything so I don't know if it works. It is dirty, tarnished, stained and has wear just like a old pump should. It has two different sized threaded ends.

1800's, Kerosene/Candle Magic Lantern Projector & 50 Slides- Original Box.
This is a true example of the old Magic Lanterns. It used either a candle or a kerosene lamp for projector lighting. I tested it only with a large candle. And it projected. I do not know the manufacturer as the label that was originally on the box is no longer readable. see picture 7, where label was located) The reflector has some silvering missing. It has three different slide holders which accommodates the various size slides. There is approximately 50 glass slides of differing sizes. Many are in color and are themed. Others are in black and white. The slides contain images of people, animals, industry and other scenery. I purchased this projector at the Nashville, TN flea market in 1968, and I will try to answer any questions you may have. This is a true find for a collector of this kind of item.

For sale is an antique Japanned tin Kerosene Dark Room Lantern. KODAK" embossed in fold-down front cover. Overall height; 8 1/2" base diameter; 4" Hinges. Catches and burner in excellent condition No dents in body. There is some paint loss but nothing out of the ordinary for a piece of this vintage. There is a wick in place but it probably has been there for a very long time There are no obvious holes in the lamp but I have not filled the lantern with oil to test it this is an antique item& may not hold oil without dripping- I couldn't ship it with flammable oil residue in the lantern)

Kitchen Stove Vintage Kerosene Glass Tank Jar "I Think Used Upside Down"
Glass Jar which I think was used as a tank for Kerosene in antique kitchen stoves. I believe it was used upside down. With the kerosene dripping(flowing? through the straw like metal lid. Lid and neck of jar where it screws on are both in good condition. Jar has no chips, cracks or other damage. Bail handle and metal collar are also in good condition. All photos are of the exact item being offered. This large"jar" measures 7 inches in diameter. 7 3/4 inches tall to top of cap plus add 3/4 inch for cap spout. Outside diameter of cap is 3 inches. As-is Angle Lamp Co. hanging light. Has been electrified to use a plug-in. Appears to be a Bakelite plug. The shades are original and has the wick screws that indicate Angle. One hinge. The pin is missing and has been replaced with a small nail. The edges to the glass shades are rough. They could be ground glass. There are a few small chips to the clear shades. When assembled, they don't appear to be noticeable. There is a small dent to the metal, shown in photo. One of the loops to the chain needs to be crimped to close the gap. The operator would pull the syringe handle out which would suck the kerosene into the syringe. It could then be sprayed onto the logs and lit. When I unscrewed the syringe. There are gaskets and the fit is tight enough that I think it would work. The Lightning Lighter fire starter tool measures just over 9" high by 6" wide at the handle. The bottom is 4 7/8" in diameter. The words"Patent Applied For" are stamped on the bottom. It looks to be made of brass. Overall in very good condition with dings all around(see pictures) It probably set next to the fireplace and got hit when messing with the fire. Handlan St. Louis Lantern, Service Kerosene Oil Lamp - Vintage
This is a Vintage Handlan St. Louis Service Lamp. Marked on the top: Handlan St. Louis USA and marked on the wick handle Handlan St. Louis MO. Circa 1909. The Glass globe is extremely damaged and someone put tape over the damage so all the pieces appear to be there. The Lantern has paint chipping and missing paint but appears to be mostly rust free. It has a pin under the lid ring and when pushed over the lid will open to remove the glass and this function works well. The wick is inside and the handle turns to produce more. The handle is a bit hard for me to turn but it does turn. Great Display item as is. If you replace the globe and add the Kerosene you are good to light the lamp. Shows scratches. Wear and use with paint chipping and paint missing Measurements: Approx 13 in Tall from bottom to the top of the handle. This is a Marked Dietz No 2 D-Lite NY USA. The Glass appears to be original and marked LOC-NOB PatD. 3-10-14 2-18-18 H25 Dietz D-Lite New York USA. It has the wick in it and the handle turns the wick to expose more wick. The Lever pulls down and locks easily to allow the glass to move up for easy lighting. This is a clean Lamp. There is one ding in the base area and one ding in the top. Both of which I would consider minor. It could use a cleaning. I did not take the glass out to clean it. To properly use the lamp you will need to add the Kerosene and get a lid on the fluid container. Measurements: Approx 18 in Tall from the top of the handle to the base. This is a Vintage Dietz No 40 Traffic Gard Syracuse NY. USA. This is marked on the top and Dietz is marked on the lid to the reservoir. The Oxblood or Ruby Red Glass Globe is in excellent condition and is marked No 40. The lamp is still painted the original red color. The lamp has no holes in it so it will hold fluid fine. The Wick is inside it and it is rope style or round. There are some minor scratches to the paint, and it shows wear and use. 1950's Traffic Gard: WC Embury Co. first introduced the dead-flame#40 Traffic Gard Lantern in 1940's Traffic Gard lantern in 1940 and marketed it specifically for use by highway contractors. ANTIQUE DIETZ HY-LO KEROSENE RAILROAD LANTERN RUBY RED GLOBE NEW YORK USA (#20?)
This piece of Antique Railroad Memorabilia is in good condition with wear consistent with it's age and use. It is old. Rusty, a little bent and crooked, but overflowing with history. It has never been painted, the wick adjuster works, and the"ruby" globe is intact and free of cracks or repairs. There also appears to be two number 20's written or welded onto the top of the lantern near the Dietz logo(see picture) This lantern was recently found in an old dark crawl space in a basement in Havertown. Pennsylvania. The aged house was scheduled to be demolished and the lantern was rescued the morning of demolition. Saved from the wrecking ball, this lantern was cleaned up only a little bit, and is being sold in"as found" condition for display purposes only. Lantern has not been tested and although it appears to be in ... moreworking condition, there is no guarantee that it will safely work. Item stands approximately 13 1/2" tall.
