Check out this vintage original and rare Sinclair Gasoline advertisement plastic baseball. I never seen one like it before. I'm guessing from the style of baseball it's from the 30's or 40's. It has a crack on the plastic baseball as you can see on the pics. The ball is only about 2 inches big. It has a string inside you can pull out. You can see the metal knob on the outside that you use to wind the string back inside. Doesn't work that great unless you take it apart. The boys give chase, guessing at what sort of animal Pal is after. They quickly realize the answer when they see the quills stuck in Pal's nose. Ouch! Wonderful design and execution on this strip. The panels are each mini-masterpieces, presenting just enough detail, against white backgrounds, to push forward the action and encapsulate the story. King's inking was in great form on this strip. King's rendition of everyday conversation and life is simply dead on. His love for these characters. Really members of his family, pours off of every strip.
