The M9 Combat Service Gas Mask is the direct successor to the M5 Assault Gas Mask utilized on D-Day and is virtually identical, except for the color(gray rather than black) and the exhalation valve on the front of the mask. This good condition model is from a collection purchased in the late 60’s-70’s and has been in storage in a dry basement for decades. No odors. Very clean. Smoke free home. Kendall Three Star Gear Lube 5 Gallon Can, Empty Vintage Oil / Gas Container
Vintage 5 gallon Kendall gear lube can(empty) One side has a gasoline warning sticker so it was likely used as a gas can at some point. The can was last used to store safety solvent(for cleaning auto parts) After draining the can was laid on it's side to dry. I noticed some weeping from the top seam. It has dents. Scuffs, rust, stains and faded paint, also the inside has an area of rust along with rust around the bottom seam. All caps screw on and off. Please see pictures.
