vintage BIG HIGH FLOW OPW DIESEL PUMP NOZZLE FILLING GAS STATION GARAGE RAT ROD

This diesel nozzle has 1290 on it. I figure that's the model number. It's huge compared to a regular pump nozzle. It's made of aluminum and measures about 18" tip to tip, and weighs about 7 lbs. When you pull the trigger the little plunger sticks. And then you have to pull it back out, I don't know if it just needs limbered up or rebuilt, but I'm selling it as-is because I really have no idea. It has wear. Solid brass Buckeye FIG 800-R Gas Pump Nozzle with Great Patina
This Buckeye gas pump nozzle is being offered exactly as I bought it from an estate here in mid-Michigan. I have not cleaned it at all. I think the patina is really great. At the base of the nozzle where the hose attaches the nozzle is marked FIG 800 on one side and it has the the letter R marked on the other side. I can't tell how much of the original chrome is still left on the nozzle. Or how much of the unit was originally chrome. A little cleaning up would quickly answer this question. As noted in the condition section there some dings and dents and wrench marks on the nozzle. The lever and the valve are not frozen, they still open and close just fine with no outside assistance required other than the normal squeezing the trigger lever to open the valve. Vintage Buckeye Brass Gas Nozzle Condition: Excellent. With no rust, or other damage. The nozzle handle will fully move back and forth, and is functioning fine. There is some blackening of the nozzle towards the very top, along with some minor scratching. 2 or three minor dings can be observed on one side of the handle, but other than those, this nozzle is in nice shape! The bottom is made of solid brass. And stamped Buckeye. There is also a stamp which reads: 845B. It measures 11" tall x 11" wide. Overall, a very nice, collectible piece in great condition!

This is for the piece you see here. Awesome look to it. The patent number you see was applied for on October 27. 1952 and issued in 1956. I do not know the working condition of this pump handle. I do know that the lever itself(photos# 7&8) does not spring back when depressed. May need a new spring. Please look close and be sure to ask whatever questions you may have.

Very nice original untouched patina. Some have told me this is a gas pump nozzle; others have said it was for water. You decide. I do not know for sure. Note the bar between the top of the faucet connecting to the body has a slight bend. not an issue and not cracked. Measures approxomately 11 inches long by 5 inches wide.
