Vintage 2.5 or larger Galvanized Metal Gas Can/ Fuel Container This fuel container is the old style that has been rinsed inside and out. It's at least 2.5 gallon. And maybe a 3 gallon as it seems taller than others I've had in the past. There are two dents near the vent, and two dents 2 or 3 in an area near the top/upper side(see photos) but the can is nice and clean. It has a self-venting spout, and it has its nozzle and nozzle cap. The screen has been removed from the inside of the nozzle(see photos) The paint is flaking off. This is a vintage jerry gas can spout. That came out of a military parts house that went as far back as the late 1940's. I am not for certain on its exact date of manufacture though fits the United Steel Manufacturing Company, USMC 5 Gal. Military Standard Gas Cans. Please note it is damaged at a portion of the coil. Broken there if opened up, flex hose is frozen in the form that it now is in. has rust holes as well in that area. Antique Buckeye Brass Gas Pump Nozzle May 13 1926 Fig 651 1585332 M 1 Gasoline
Up for auction is an antique Buckeye Fig 651 brass gas pump nozzle in excellent condition. It has a beautiful patina which you can see in the pictures. But better than that, it appears to be functional. The lever depresses smoothly and springs back, the whole process is solid, this pump was meant to last. The nozzle is freed up, and moves as it should. I found it under a heap of rubble in what used to be a general store in the quaint little town of Kinta, Oklahoma. It measures about 17 inches from tip to tip and weighs several pounds. I have offered free shipping, but this applies only to the 48 contiguous states. I was going to restore another vintage 1940's gas pump. BUT thanks to a piece of crap" thief" It was stolen. I had already bought a few new parts but,they didn't get them. So I have no use for this nozzle. I have already had it cleaned and polished. It looks very good. It has a 3/4 end.This is a very old nozzle! NOT a reproduction! Please check out my other items. I also have a brand new, unopened Goodyear" White" color rubber hose.
