Vintage 1.25 Gallon Red Plastic Gasoline Gas Container Can w spout nozzle cap
What a find! This 1 gallon 4 ounce gas can has room in it for a gallon of gas. And room for mixing oil if you want to use it to power your 2 cycle equipment. It's in terrific condition. The nozzle shows some slight discoloration as can be seen in the photos, but otherwise this can looks new. It has a self venting nozzle. And the can itself has no scuffs or cuts etc. A brand new best quality viton rubber gasket has been installed on the nozzle for a long, long life. This is a really nice plastic gas can.

And I DID NOT SEE ANY LEAKS. There is a metal plate in the inside of the tank that moves around, I do not know if it is suppose to be lose or if it is a baffle of some kind. This is a nice little. 6 3/8" long, 5" high and 4" wide plastic gas tank off a Tecumseh 5 H.P. engine. It has both top and bottom brackets and good original cap with cork gasket and plastic breather. The brackets have surface rust and will clean up well. The heavy duty black plastic tank has some usage scratches but is solid with no leaks or holes. The inside is nice and clean. There is a small bit of fuel line still attached to keep out the critters. Please take the time to look up your engine model. Type and code to make sure this is correct for your engine. Really nice matching set 74 CB750 Tank and side covers. These came off a running 1974 CB750. Tank is in great shape and has been professionally repainted at some point. Orange paint job with VERY slight metallic flake. Paint shines up nicely and polishes to a wet finish. Decals and emblems are in great shape. The cap works great. Does not come with a key, however any small key will open the lock. No petcock included. No major dents or dings in the tank, however there are small imperfections throughout, please refer to pictures carefully. Side covers are in great shape. The mounting tabs are intact. Left side cover came from a different year bike as the emblem color is different. Also you can see from the pictures that the paint shades are slightly different. PARTING OUT A 1970's JOHN DEERE 350 DOZER/CRAWLER ALL PARTS AVAIL!!! gas cap...
I am Parting out an entire 1970's John Deere 350 crawler/dozer. It had the final drives. Clutches, brakes redone two years ago, the left side carriage was redone and in good condition, rollers and front idler replaced, track is decent. The right side was to be next but it started jumping out of every gear last winter and this year it would not crank over. The six way blade was in very good condition and it has no hydraulic leaks. One rear sprocket on the left was replaced along with undercarriage bolts. The right needs replacing. Not sure why it wont crank, it was running strong when I put it away. If anyone is interested in the machine, let me know. I can send pics of the work I had done to it.

I believe this heavy cast iron screw on cap to be a pressure vent cap. But I am not sure. It is a two-part mechanism(marked Fig 244) with the“floating” cap held by a long bolt to the base. The base has threads to attach to a larger pipe. Showing rust with chippy paint. The cap is from a small town gas station that closed. No telling how many years it has been sitting idle.
